Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the MMD Carbon Fiber Side Mirror Covers which are available for all 2015 and newer Mustangs. So, in this video, of course we'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect of the MMD Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers, as well as the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront uses 3M automotive bonding tape, making it a very simple install for almost anybody to take care of in a very short amount of time. That will definitely get the one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.The MMD Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers will be for any 2015 or newer Mustang owner who is very interested in picking up the carbon fiber exterior appearance and wants to do it in a very subtle way by adding them over to their side mirrors. Now, when it comes to the addition of any exterior carbon fiber design part, it's really kind of split 50-50 when it comes to people's opinions. Some people love it. Some people really don't really think it's for them. I myself really do appreciate the carbon fiber cover as long as it's real.Now, as long as we're talking about the MMD Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers, these are 100% hand-laid carbon fiber parts, so of course it is completely authentic and it does attach very easily to your side mirrors, adding that really aggressive style that some people do desire. Now, of course if this part isn't for you, then obviously to each his own. But if you are interested in carbon fiber exterior parts, this might be something that piques your interest. Probably the most important aspect of this video is the materials and construction of this. Now, again, it is 100% hand-laid carbon fiber and it does have that gloss finish over the top, as you can see here. Very reflective. Now, with that said, it is a lightweight, very durable part, something that won't crack or fade over time and has the UV protection. So it's great for the guys out there attending a lot of car shows, because this will absorb a lot of sun. But of course with that UV protection, it does not fade and wither over time. So, again, great for the guys out there attending a lot of car shows and spending a lot of time with their cars out in the sun all day. Now if this is something that does pique your interest and you like the idea of adding some carbon fiber finishes to your side mirrors on the S550, expect to be spending about 200 bucks for this particular set from MMD. Not an overly terrible expensive price here. Something that is to be expected with carbon fiber is very high pricing. Now this one, in my personal opinion, very reasonable price. I do want to point out that in my hands they do feel pretty flimsy and they are very thin, but given that they are true carbon fiber, it's not like I'm gonna snap them right in half. So, with these installed on your car, they are durable enough to last all year round and, of course, with the UV protection, won't fade over time. So there's a lot of value here with this particular pricing and this product from MMD. Now, MMD usually makes extremely high quality parts for your exterior and interior, especially the S550s, so this one is definitely no different, in my opinion. Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video. Like I said in the very beginning, easy enough for anybody to take care of in just a few minutes in the driveway at home. 3M automotive bonding tape is provided for you in a roll in the kit actually, as well as alcohol wipes. Now, the alcohol wipes, you want to start off by completely cleaning off your factory mirrors before applying the covers to them. With that said, the 3M automotive tape you'll cut into little bits and pieces and apply them around the edges of the mirror cover, as well as in the middle. Peel off the backing to the 3M tape, apply it onto your mirror, repeat for the opposite side, and you're good to go. Overall, about 20 minutes to a half hour in the driveway at home, and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.That brings this overview to a close.
