Justin: If you're a big fan of that retro styling and would prefer the convenience of a perfectly matched pre-painted part right out of the box, well then you should definitely consider adding a set of the SpeedForm Classic Quarter Window Louvers for your 2010 through 2014 Coupe. Now, these louvers will be made from durable ABS plastic and are designed to fit those quarter windows perfectly for right around that $150 price point. Now, your installation is gonna be more of a peel and stick job here using the 3M automotive-grade Dual Lock strip. So with all that said, figure soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter here and maybe 30 minutes of your time to complete from start to finish, as we'll show you later in the video. So, if you've been shopping for quarter window louvers for that S197 at home, then chances are you have stumbled across a few different options here on the site, including the ones we're talking about today in addition to SpeedForm's slightly more modern option. You're also gonna stumble across the Eleanor style and then finally, the quarter window options from MMD which are a little bit bigger, they totally cover that quarter window, whereas these guys kind of fit perfectly into that opening. Now, in my opinion, these are gonna be one of the most true to the original designs for the S197. And due to that design can be removed if and when you did need to clean that quarter window glass. Let's talk a little bit more about that pre-painted finished because it's certainly gonna be one of the big draws with this or any other pre-painted product here on the site. Now, if you didn't know the paint team at AM does spray the same base and clear coat that Ford uses on their Mustangs which in turn just leads to a very consistent color match for your S197 again right out of the box. Now, not only is the color on point, but gonna take all the hassle of having to take these things to a local paint shop and maybe having mixed results on your own. Now, we do offer just about every single factory color available for the 2010 through 2014 year range, but as always, never a bad idea to double-check before pulling the trigger for these guys on your ride. Now, that paint is sprayed on to the SpeedForm Classic Quarter Window Louvers which again do feature a very durable and lightweight ABS plastic for the overall build or construction. Now, the louvers themselves do include all of your necessary prep pads, your adhesion promoter, which is very important here. And then finally, your 3M automotive-grade Dual Lock tape and that's gonna hold these guys in place. Now, technically, yes, this is a variation of Velcro, but it's one of the strongest options that you will find out there. And it's more than up to the task of being able to keep these guys in place even at top speeds. And if you don't believe me, well, feel free to read up on the hundreds of five-star reviews here on these particular louvers. And as always, also worth checking out some of the customer submitted images, so that way you get a better idea of how these things might look on your own ride at home. Now, one small thing the site is gonna recommend picking up along with the louvers themselves is this quarter window blackout decals. And basically, this is just gonna hide the backside of the louvers once they're installed from the inside of the car looking out. That's not totally necessary, of course, but if you're looking to keep things a little bit cleaner from an appearance standpoint, certainly not gonna be a bad idea and at the end of the day, most if not all of your visibility is gonna be blocked with these guys in place anyway. So, there's really nothing you're going to be losing in that regard. But now let's get into that installation as promised earlier and again, peel and stick job for the most part. So, figure soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter here and maybe a few minutes of your time from start to finish. I will say the most important part of the job is going to be the prep. So, just make sure that surface is nice and clean first before getting to work with adhesion promoter and all that good stuff. But regardless, here's a detailed walkthrough of the job to show you how it's going to go down. Man: The tools used for this install were microfiber towel, glass cleaner, alcohol prep pad, and a razor knife. So, the first step for this install is gonna be to make sure that your glass surface is nice and clean so that all of your 3M adhesive will stick properly. Next, using the supplied alcohol wipes and adhesion promoter, we're gonna prep the back of the surface to take the 3M. Now, as the surface has been cleaned and prepped, you can peel the backing off of one side of the 3M and stick it to the back of the louver. Once again, I'm gonna use the provided alcohol pad and adhesion promoter pad to wipe down the surface that's gonna be mating up with the window louver and get it ready for install. And now I'm gonna half peel back the 3M backing so that I can put my louver and peel the rest once it's on the car. Now I can install my window louver onto the glass. Once it's aligned correctly, I can apply a little bit of pressure and set my 3M. And that's gonna wrap up this review and install for the SpeedForm Classic Quarter Window Louvers for your '10 to '14 Mustang. Thanks for watching, for all things Mustang, keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
