Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the MMD Decklid Panel in the Matte Black finish, fitting all 2015 and newer Mustangs. In this video, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect out of the MMD Decklid Panel, and of course, the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install which I'll let you know upfront here gets a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, and will not require any drilling or permanent modification to your S550.So, this Decklid Panel from MMD is definitely gonna be for the guys out there who believe in the less is more moto, and wanna get rid of that glossy Decklid emblem on the back end of their S550. It's also gonna be good for the guys out there who are blackout seekers otherwise looking to completely blackout their exterior and interior looks. And if they wanna do that, they can replace that gloss black Decklid Panel with the glossy GT or Pony logo, and replace it with a purely Matte Black finish with an absolutely plain design and no emblem in sight.So, one of the added bonuses to the MMD option is, it does not require any drilling or permanent modification. Some of the guys out there looking for a decklid replacement might keep running into a lot of options that actually require you to drill directly into your factory trunk lid. Now, I don't know about you, but if I just bought a new 2015 Mustang or 2016 Mustang, I don't know if I'd wanna be drilling into the body panels. If you're one of those people just like me, you can pick up the MMD option which will install directly into your trunk lid the exact same way the factory option does.As far as materials and construction goes, expect all OEM quality materials, a durable ABS plastic with a matte black finish, I know I've said that a million times, but that's really the main seeker of this particular option. Now, you can might have seen this on our 2015 GT that we have here at American Muscle, and in my opinion, seeing it in person, it looks absolutely amazing. Now, I'm a huge fan of factory decklid emblems and factory emblems in general, so if you have the GT or Pony logo, I do really like that, but if I did own an S-550, I might make an exception for this Decklid Panel, because I do think this looks really good. Now, of course, you have the option, I think most people can do this if you wanted to attach a GT or Pony logo to this, you can probably adhere to the surface. But if you're picking this up, I don't know why you would want to.Now, as far as the pricing goes, it's not the least expensive, but of course, it's not the most expensive. This particular option comes in right around 150 bucks. Compared to some of the other options out there, there are less expensive, more expensive options, but really this one comes down to having the huge bonus of not requiring any drilling. So, my personal opinion, 150 bucks to not have to drill into the body panels on my S550, I think is a great price.Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the beginning and a few times throughout the video, this one goes on exactly like the factory option and doesn't require any drilling. All you would have to do is unbolt your factory option by popping open your trunk, removing the couple of bolts holding it in place, and just swap it out with the MMD option. Overall, about 15 to 20 minutes on the install, and a 1 out of 3 wrenches on our difficulty meter.Well, guys, just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer Mustang and you're looking for a way to get a clean sleeve and extremely aggressive look to the rear end of your S550, by deleting that rear end Decklid emblem, without doing any drilling or modifications, you can check out the MMD Decklid Panel in the Matte Black finish, available right here at americanmuscle.com.
