The MMD Battery Cover that we have here today is a great way for 2005 to 2014 owners to totally clean up their engine bays a bit by hiding that ugly battery and all of its related wiring. Now, the cover is designed using OEM Ford CAD data and is built from high-quality ABS plastic. It can be had here on the site for right around 60 bucks. Installation according to the site, it's gonna get a very easy one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter. And I would say take no more than 15 minutes to crank out from start to finish as we'll demonstrate later in the video. Now, full disclosure, guys, I have something similar to this along with a different master cylinder cover on my S197 right now, and I absolutely love them. I get compliments on them wherever I go and whenever I pop the hood. Because again, they do such a good job of cleaning up the bay. Now, with that being said, this MMD cover is only going to be for the battery side at this time. You can find other separate master cylinder covers here on the site if you wanted to browse a bit, but for the purposes of this video, we're going to focus in on the battery cover here. Now, you are looking at a durable automotive-grade ABS plastic panel that has been designed and built using OEM Ford CAD data. And it really does show once you go to install this thing for the first time and see how it all fits. Now, I will say one of the things I like most about the cover itself is its simple design. You got a simple black textured plastic going on that's going to flow very well under the hood and the lack of any logos or designs give the impression that this really could have been a factory add-on from Ford. Now, the cover itself does come with everything needed for the simple installation, including a couple of push pins and some Velcro. Let's walk you through that job right now. Check it out. Tools used for this installation include a clean rag along with a stubby Phillips head screwdriver. All right. First off, guys, getting started with this install, we have two plastic screws we need to remove first in order to begin getting the battery cover in place. So, what do you say we tackle those now? Sometimes with these plastic screws, it helps to get something underneath and almost help it as it comes out. With our screws removed, now we want to wipe this area here in the inner fender well because again, we do have some 3M tape or Velcro that will be used. So, make sure that's nice and clean, and then we can go ahead and peel off the backing. With our area nice and clean, now we can go ahead and remove the backing on the 3M automotive Velcro. And this way, when we line our holes, we'll go ahead and apply this side of the panel first, kind of marking where we want our Velcro to be. And at that point, we can simply remove the Velcro and then work on our screws. Okay. Again, so we want to make sure we line up our holes first before applying any pressure on the Velcro. With our panel in place, now we're just going to reinstall our plastic screws. All right. With that final screw tightened up, that concludes our install of the MMD Battery Cover again, available for your '05 to '14 Mustang at home.
