    Review & Install Video

Hey, everybody. I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my quick review of the MMD V Series Spoiler fitting your 2015 and newer Mustang, available in your choice of either unpainted or pre-painted. All right, guys, let's get right down to it. The MMD V Series Spoiler is without a doubt going to be for the S550 owners out there looking for one of the most aggressive spoiler options for his or her ride available here on the market. Now in looking at this thing and comparing it to the RTR, the MMD by Foose, CDC, and even the Roush spoiler, easily way more aggressive than any of those in terms of overall size and rake or angle. So for those of you guys looking to make a large impact to your exterior styling on the rear of the car, this will no doubt be a good option. Now, guys, one thing I really do enjoy about this spoiler is the center section here, which in my opinion is going to flow really well with the lines of the rear bumper of the S550, more specifically that license plate area. I think it mimics those lines really well and is going to flow well with the rear of the car, despite being a little bit more over-the-top. As far as build guys, here's what you're going to be looking at. Durable and lightweight ABS plastic throughout in addition to those two finish options I talked about a little earlier. You can grab it unpainted for a little bit less. Great option if you have a paint hookup or if you plan on spraying this thing yourself. You can grab the pre-painted option, again, like I have on the table with me here. It's going to cost you roughly a hundred bucks more over that unpainted version, but you don't have to go through the hassle of getting this thing sprayed and hoping it matches your ride. That's definitely not the case with the AM pre-painted stuff, as we use the same base-and-clear that Ford uses. So it's going to make for a perfect color match for your ride in basically every factory color available. As for the install, well it's going to go down one of two different ways here, guys. If you have a factory spoiler installed on your S550, you'll be happy to know the MMD spoiler is going to install using those existing bolt holes, no drilling needed whatsoever, making for an easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Now a couple of big pointers here guys. If you do have that factory spoiler installed, you're going to want to use some kind of heat to loosen up the tape with that factory spoiler, hairdryer, heat gun, something like that. In addition to that, you want to have something to separate that spoiler from the trunk lid, break that tape up. We used this little plastic wedge we had laying around the shop here. It really helped out a lot. And again, you want to clean off all that 3M tape after the spoiler is removed. On the other hand, if you do not have a factory spoiler installed you will have to drill. Not that bad. MMD throws in a drilling template for you, but since there is some drilling involved we'll knock it up to two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Either way, figure you're spending about two hours in the garage or driveway getting this thing installed. So to wrap up the V Series Spoiler from MMD, guys, if you're a big fan of the in-your-face styling that this thing is going to bring to the table, then I think you're going to like the look when installed. Either way, check out more from MMD for your S550 right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

MMD V Series. MMD's V Series Decklid Spoiler will add aggressive track inspired styling to the rear of your 2015-2019 S550 Mustang. Featured at SEMA on the MMD V Series Mustang, the steep rake of this Decklid Spoiler has a larger than life intimidating design that further accentuates the sculpted lines of the Mustangs rear perfectly. The notched center section not only looks great, but also helps with visibility.

High Quality Construction. Manufactured from high quality acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this Modern Muscle Design V Series Rear Deck Lid Spoiler was designed using the original OEM CAD data from Ford to ensure a perfect fit. ABS is an extremely strong material known for its light-weight, superior durability and impact resistance - making it perfect for the daily driver. This Spoiler ships unpainted.

Drilling May Be Required. The MMD V Series Rear Spoiler was specifically designed to reuse the existing holes left in the deck lid by the stock wing (if so equipped) on Fastback models. The spoiler easily installs with a combination of hardware and 3M automotive bonding tape. A drilling template is included for those models not equipped with a factory installed wing. Convertible models equipped with a stock wing will not be able to reuse the factory holes and will require additional drilling for proper installation.

Application. This Unpainted Modern Muscle Design V Series Rear Decklid Spoiler is designed to fit all fastback and convertible 2015-2019 Mustangs including the V6, EcoBoost, GT and GT350 models. This Spoiler is also available pre-painted for your convenience.

Application Note. The Rear Spoiler may come in contact with the factory antenna when the trunk is opened on Convertible models.

Technical Notes. This MMD V Series Rear Spoiler ships unpainted. AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation of all body parts. We also recommend test fitting these products before they are painted.

      This spoiler is fantastic!!

I wanted a rear spoiler different from the track pack spoiler that came on my GT350. This spoiler looks great now my GT350 is different from the rest. Quality is very nice and matches up with the factory holes perfect. I highly recommend this spoiler if you want a more aggressive look!

      Great looking spoiler

Purchased this a few weeks back, order came in quickly. Opened package and found it was packaged EXTREMELY well, paint was perfect. My car didn't have a spoiler to begin with so install was a little more diffiy than most, but still manageable. This spoiler make the car look like a whole different car.

      swiss cheese

Don't listen to Justin in the video on the MMD v-series spoiler for 2015 mustang convertible. Because the product will not fit, and will not use the same holes on stock spoilers factory holes. The spoiler will not lay flat on trunk lid, it will take at least three people to place spoiler, and by the time you get it half way straight you will have enough holes on trunk it will look like swiss cheese. I never buy anything from American Mucsle Again.

      Aggressive Styling

This spoiler makes your s550 standout amongst others. It is way cooler than the stock baby spoiler my car came with. For me, having no experience with body work on cars, I had a difficult time installing it. Removing the stock spoiler and all the adhesive was a pain. Also watch out with the adhesive promoter it comes with. I probably made a mistake because I didn’t know what I was doing but when this stuff gets on your paint it won’t come off. It leaves a stain. Also having a second pair of hand helps too when trying to screw it on. The middle screws were the hardest because of the small space you have to squeeze your hand in. Other than that it turned out great.

      perfect finish

beautiful fit, finish, paint, couldn't have come any better. As for the install, If you already have a spoiler, in no way is it hard to do, but be sure to get ALL the prior adhesive off the trunk deck. I tried to just get by with leaving the bottom film but the new spoiler uses less deck space and will show your laziness if you leave the adhesive!! LOL. Heat gun, goo off, rubbing alcohol and patience = beautiful finish!

Looks good but installation was a headache!

Well if you have a convertible with a stock spoiler I might wanna say stay away from this one as it needs drilling which is too close to the factory holes. Overall looks great but didn’t fit as expected like the ends seems a loose fit and you really need to push it down in the corners to stick it to the body as it is stiff. Hence, i am scared it might come off with the screws itself lol. Could have given it a 5 star if it really had that curved shaped that slides perfectly on top if the trunk lid, both the ends especially or if it was flexible like the stock spoiler.
