Quarter window scoops aren't for all Mustang owners out there. A lot of people really like them, but there are those that don't, as well. These quarter window scoops from MP Concepts are going to offer a little bit of a different look when you compare them to other quarter window scoop options, since they aren't going to cover the entire window. That being said, these are going to be for someone that wants the look of a quarter window scoop at an affordable price, but would like to go with something other than the traditional louver. I'll talk more about the install later. But this is going to be an easy install. A one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, you can expect it to take an hour, tops. Unlike the usual and traditional quarter window louver, this window scoop resembles more of the Roush styling with the fact that it doesn't cover the entire window. This is more of a unique design. It isn't old-style or modern. It's going to cover the un-tinted part of the quarter window, so it's not like you'll have a partially covered window here. But it isn't going to cover all of the glass, either. The scoops come with inserts as well, so you won't have an open scoop hanging out there. It'll be more finished off than that. It's made from ABS plastic, so it's going to be lightweight, but durable at the same time. ABS is nice, especially for exterior parts, because it's going to have a nice long life, and be able to hold up against weather and sun. As far as the finish, the scoops will come with the same gloss black finish that you see here. Of course, you can always paint them if you want to, or you can leave them gloss black like they are here. When it comes to price, this is going to be one of your most affordable options. You're looking at spending a touch over $100 for the set here. SpeedForm does offer a louver that's close in price, but that's a totally different style. The Roush scoop that I mentioned earlier is going to cost over $250, so the MP Concepts option here is much more affordable. Like always, though, I suggest you check out all of your options. The install is very simple here. It's a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It's going to take an hour, tops. You won't need any tools to get the job done, but you will need a clean surface. I recommend cleaning the window well prior to the install, since these do apply with 3M tape and you want to make sure you get a good bond. After the window is prepped, you'll need to apply the 3M tape to the scoop insert. Test with the insert on the scoop to make sure it fits properly, and the insert edges need to be flush with the scoop. You can remove the backing on the tape, and install the insert into the scoop. Next, you'll apply the 3M tape on the back of the scoop itself and test with the scoop. Once you're ready, peel the backing off the tape here and press firmly onto the window. You want to make sure that you apply firm and even pressure to make sure you have proper adhesion. That's going to do it as far as my review here with the MP Concepts quarter window scoops. These will fit the 2015 and newer S550 Mustang. You can check them out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.
