It's Joe from AmericanMuscle and today, we're going to be taking a closer look at the MP Concepts Rear Window Louver in gloss black, fitting all '15 and newer Fastback Mustangs. Now, this is going to be a great option for you if you're looking for a modern take on some classic '60s Mustang styling, all at a budget-friendly price tag.So what do we have going on here with the MP Concepts Rear Window Louver? First things first, let's talk build quality, and this one is going to be made out of durable, yet lightweight, automotive-grade ABS plastic. You can see that the design here basically bends down the middle slats, allowing access to the third brake light, allowing your Mustang to remain street legal. This one is going to be finished in gloss black which is going to be a perfect match for the rear deck lid panel and any blackout build in general. If you really wanted to take this to the next level though, you could throw in a pair of side window louvers as well. Now, if the gloss black is not for you, MP Concepts does understand that and they also have the same rear window louver available in matte black as well. Now, one huge plus about the design of this rear window louver in particular is that it's held on to its mounting brackets with 8-millimeter nuts. So all you have to do to remove this is take off those 8-millimeter nuts. You could pop those right off, clean underneath and drop it right back on in a couple of minutes. And that is a really nice touch. Also in the kit, you do get a few extra of those foam pads if you do need them for whatever reason. You also get a couple of extra mounting brackets and 8-millimeter nuts included in the kit. If anything ever happens, you do have a few replacements in the box with this rear window louver. And I always think spare parts are a nice touch.Pricing for this one, it's gonna drop in right around that $250 mark which, simply put, makes this the most budget-friendly rear window louver in the category. The install, not gonna be that bad either. I'm going to give this an easy one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Should take you about an hour, at most, with most of that time spent on cleaning up the rear window area. So, without any further ado, let me show you what tools you'll need and how it's done.Tools you'll need for this install will include an 8-millimeter socket, a ratchet, and alcohol pads, and adhesion promoter will come included in the kit.So, over by the table, you can see I have everything laid out in front of me. This is going to be the rear window louver. Obviously, I have a little bit of packaging down to make sure I don't scratch up that piano black. Over here, we have all the parts. This is what we're going to start with. It's a little metal plate with the stud on top. We had some 3M double-sided tape on the back. We're also going to grab those 8-millimeter nuts, and that is going to secure these to the window louver. And then we're going to peel off the tape and drop it in place. It really is that simple. You can see we also have some adhesion promoter, as well as some alcohol wipes. And these pads we'll touch on a little bit later. First things first, we're going to get these installed. So you can see that stud is a little bit offset. When you're dropping this in, you want to make sure that it's inboard and not hanging over the edge like that. So we're going to give that a 180. From the bottom, I'm just going to make sure it's nice and parallel with the side. And now, you can thread on that 8-millimeter nut.And there's eight more places where we're going to have to do that. So we're just going to hit all those right now.So now, we have all nine of these installed on the rear of our louver. At this point, you want to go back to your Mustang, clean the rear glass, make sure you're working with a nice, clean surface area to allow this adhesive to stick as best as it can. Then you can come back with the louver and peel off all the backing, and drop this in place. Now, these foam bricks, they do have a little bit of adhesive on the back. And what these are for is they're going to install them on the underside of the fins, just to make sure they don't rattle against the glass. They're actually pretty high up to begin with, but this is a nice measure to make sure they don't.That's going to do it for my review and install of the MP Concepts Rear Window Louver in gloss black, fitting all '15 and newer Fastback Mustangs. As always, guys, thank you so much for watching. Keep it right here at AmericanMuscle, for all things Mustang.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY
If you’re thinking about getting this because of the low price just DONT. do not pay attention to any good reviews for this thing. it will come to you either broken or deformed at the top. the materials are flimsy and break super easy. The tops is too bowed and glue won’t even hold it down. spend an extra hundred or two and get quality louvers.Helpful (1)

Flew off on highway
It looked FANTASTIC the 5 hours it lasted until it flew off on the highway while I was only going 60mph. The louvers came straight out the box with scratches on it and I also had to manually drill one of the holes that was missing, myself. The tiny supplied adhesives are COMPLETE garbage and the ONLY way you can keep the Louvers on is by purchasing your own additional glue. And that might not even work. I have never been more disappointed and frustrated in a product that didn’t even deserve to be put on sell. MP Concepts seriously needs to improve this same issue numerous customers have had about this one particular product. Pls do not waste your hard worked money on something that doesn’t deserve it.Helpful (1)

The louver itself is great however the 3M adhesive strips that come with it were absolutely trash. The 3 mounts on the top came off even with the "glue" type stuff that came with it. I bought some Gorilla Glue Adhesive strips and now it's perfect. Install time is only long because I had to reinstall twice. Be careful not to overtighten the brackets or it will completely strip the mounts out of the brackets. Just tighten with a socket in hand until it can't tighten any further and then tighten a tiny bit more and it should hold in place.Helpful (0)

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
This thing came out the box deformed. Tried to make it work. The plates wouldnt stay attached. Reattached them after buying new tape and 3 pins broke with little tightening. I would not recommend mp concept products. Poor design and overpriced. I wouldnt pay 20 bucks for this thing if I knew before what I know now.Helpful (4)

Looks great. Not sticky enough
Overall this product was great. It just doesn’t stick very well with the supplied adhesive. Had to buy some glue that binds to windshields to get it to stick better. Looks awesome though.Helpful (2)

Really simple and storm and it looks absolutely amazing… One thing I will note as I did the top two tabs first and slowly work my way down and it made a lot easierHelpful (0)
Kindly inform me the packing size and weight. Thank in advance.
is the gloss black painted on or is it made like that?
A gloss black finish is indeed applied.
I bought this a couple months ago, but I messed some mounting pads during installation, is there any way to get some mounting pads? So, I could have some extras on hand
Any problems when driving really fast like close to or over 100 do you see the louvers move, wave, rattle, tap and does it look like it will last more than a couple of years? thanks. - UDOGTEXAS
As long as they are installed properly, they should be fine without any issues.
