Hey guys, Adam here with Today, we're taking a closer look at and installing the SpeedForm Vintage Quarter Window Louvers available in Black for the '15 to '18 Mustang Fastback. You should be checking this out for your own Fastback S550 if you're looking to add that nostalgic, classic muscle car design to the exterior appearance of your Mustang. This is a really easy and inexpensive way to add that design to your exterior with a simple stick-on design. It comes with that 3M tape to get it in place and it has that gloss black finish to really stand out amongst the other Mustangs on the road. Now, as you can see, we've got our orange 2018 EcoBoost. Has a little bit of a chrome trim here, so this really is that nostalgic '60s, '70s design. You see a lot of chrome trim. You're starting to get a little bit of that gloss black going. So if you're into that really nostalgic look, this is a great way to go for just about 50 bucks. It's a vacuum-formed ABS plastic. Really durable, extremely lightweight material as you can see here. On the back, it's also painted black as well so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb when you can see in between those five spokes. Now some of the other options out there have a lot more, some of them are a little more modernized. This one here, that nice gloss black is just a really, really good classic look. So if you wanna get this installed, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter here. Really simple stuff. Again, we'll just line the backing with 3M tape, we'll clean off the window with some alcohol wipes, and then we'll just stick it right into place. And as you can see here, it sits there pretty nicely. It looks really good and you can still see out of the quarter window if you're sitting in the back or if you're in the front seat looking backward. You still have that visibility. So you're not compromising any of that.Next step here, let's get this on the table. We're gonna use that 3M tape to line the inside here and then we'll come back and clean off the window. I wanna let you know from start to finish, expect about 30 minutes, maybe a little bit less if you have a little bit of experience with this. The biggest step you wanna keep in mind is cleaning off the window. You wanna make sure that that 3M tape is getting a really strong, solid bond with the window and not being distracted by any of that dirt or debris. If it doesn't get that good of a bond, if it doesn't have that time to seal, when you hit the highway, you're cruising at high speeds, you run the risk of this thing flying off and that is just not what you want. So, let's get this over to the table, prep it with 3M, and we'll come back and prep the window get it installed. Step number one here now that we're on the table is to take one of our louvers, flip it over. And we're gonna grab our alcohol wipe here and just wipe the edges, make sure that, you know, we're cleaning it up. As you can see, it's a little sticky. It's got some things on it here. Definitely has some debris. So first things first, we're gonna take this and open that up. Grab our alcohol wipe and just give it a good wipe down. You really just have to focus on the edges because that's where the 3M is gonna go. Do the same thing over here. Perfect. We'll set that aside because we're gonna have to use some alcohol wipes on our windows later. Now you're gonna take your 3M, you're gonna unroll it, measure it out to one of the sides, and give it a cut. So scissors work. I had wire cutters on deck. They were in arm's reach. You can use those. And just lay it in place. A little excess, you can, of course, just trim that excess off.Make sure you give it a firm press all the way down when you have it exactly where you want. Repeat that for all of the other edges. Now you don't wanna go over the edge too. You wanna make sure there's a little bit of a gap between the top of it and the edge just because you don't wanna see any of that tape once it's applied to the window. This one's got a tight curve, so I'm just gonna do a small piece here and then do the other side. Perfect. Now we can repeat that for the opposite louver. All right. So we're back here next to the car, and as you can see, I started peeling off the backing of it, but before we get there, you wanna grab, of course, that alcohol wipe. Soap and water works as well. I'd recommend using a soap and water mixture in like a squirt bottle with a nice rag or you can use the alcohol wipes. I would not recommend using something as chemically profound as like Windex or Lysol, or something like that. These, I would definitely recommend. So we're just gonna clean off the window around the edges. From here, peel off the backing on that 3M. When you line up your window louver, I would start in the back corner there and feed that up. You know, start pressing on it all the way up to the edge. Go all the way around.I'd recommend pressing and holding for just a couple of seconds on the top and then, of course, on the bottom. And repeat for the opposite side. Now before you hit the road, I'd recommend letting it sit there for a couple of hours to get a really good bond. You don't wanna just stick it on and then hit highway speeds. That's how things start coming off. So apply it, give it time to settle, give it time to get a really good bond, and then you're good to go.But that's gonna wrap up my review and install for the SpeedForm Vintage Quarter Window Louvers in the Black finish, available for the '15 to '18 Fastback Mustangs.
