Description
Drivetrain Stability Upgrade. The Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade enhances durability and drivetrain precision by replacing the soft, deteriorating OEM rubber bushing with a stiffer, high-performance bearing carrier. This upgrade prevents bearing sag and misalignment under torque loads, maintaining optimal driveshaft alignment for consistent and direct power delivery, making it crucial for enthusiasts seeking improved throttle response and driveline accuracy.
Construction and Appearance. This upgraded carrier features a rugged, two-piece design that clamps securely around the existing OEM bearing. It incorporates a high-durometer polyurethane bushing available in street and track options to reduce flex and movement, improving NVH and performance balance. The carrier maintains a clean, functional appearance optimized for durability and sustained performance.
Installation. Installation requires removal of nearby exhaust components and heat shielding, followed by cutting off the stock carrier. No drilling is required as the new two-piece carrier clamps firmly around the OEM bearing for a secure fit.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 2015-2023 Mustang EcoBoost and V6 models equipped with automatic transmissions. This upgrade is not intended for use outside of this application due to fitment and drivetrain configuration differences.
