The Fail-Safe Thermostat at 160 degrees Fahrenheit is engineered to regulate engine temperature by opening precisely at 160°F to ensure optimal engine performance and prevent overheating. It plays a crucial role in maintaining the cooling system's efficiency and protecting the engine from damage.
Construction and Appearance. This thermostat features robust construction combining stainless steel, copper, and brass materials, providing durability and corrosion resistance. Its finish presents metallic silver and gold tones, reflecting a quality OE-grade design.
Installation. The thermostat is a direct-fit replacement for its compatible vehicles. No drilling or special installation tools are required. Please note, a gasket or seal is required but not included with the thermostat and must be sourced separately.
Application. It is not compatible with 1979-2004 Mustang models.
