Is this a direct bolt on or is welding required?

    • I would recommend professional install. You must first remove your support FRAME (this is emphasized b/c a lot of shops around here say they won't mess with the frame) by breaking spot welds. When you get the new one you need to align it then weld on multiple places.

      opr radiator support

I was really supprised to see the lack of quality I'm use to from American Muscle, I have purchased quite a lot of parts from you guys and mostly my problems have been with customer service, well this it appears to be on both. The damaged part on my car is most definitely much better quality the the part I purchased, it has never been about the money. Thank you

      Feels cheap, damaged box

Received the box with a bunch of holes , and it was poorly taped up , very noticeable that it was opened before , edges of radiator support are dented in , looks as if it was damaged during transport since it chipped the paint as well , feels very light and cheap compared to the factory part, better off getting one from the junk yard

      Decent replacement

This is good value for the money. My only problem was the holes for the AC condenser mounts were not correct. I needed to drill new holes for them to sit in. Also, the upper edges were bent in shipping, but I was able to bend them back easy enough. You definitely need to know how to spot weld for this.

A very reasonable price and the quality was great

The support bracket was damaged by a previous owner and never repaired. I was looking for replacement part with out purchasing from Ford for an arm and leg, This satisfied the requirement

      Radiator support

Ordered this support in April while I was out of town working. When I got home the box was in perfect condition so to take up less space I removed the support from the box and 86ed the box. The support stayed wrapped in plastic til yesterday... I took the plastic off and noticed that they shipped this thing damaged to me. Both ends are bent in, where you attach to the inner fenders. One would be ok to fix but the other is totally unacceptable!! The whole side is bent over... and you can see it happened at the factory because it was painted after it was damaged, for there's no scratches in the paint!!! Now I have to try and return it, no box. (Figures). I'd give it less stars if I could!!

      Nice but,

The box arrived in good shape, I opened it up, and noticed that the driver side of the support was "tweaked" a little, I had to make some adjustments to it with a torch to get lined back up. Other than that, it worked great.

      Decent but has its flaws

It worked for my car, the main metal bumper piece doesn't have thread holes so you have to thread a new bolt size through both your radiator support and the bumper. It's cheap aftermarket metal but it works. Decent overall product.

Replacement part. But not oem quality.

Look at all the pictures closely the new ones not like the first picture with crush points built in. I was disappointed as I spent more money because i wanted that safety built in.

      99 Mustang radiator support install

The original radiator support bottom edge was pushed up and twisted from an impact and was rusty. Replacing this item is a good deal of work and requires a welder to install. The unit itself was a good copy of the original except for the bolt holes for the tubular internal bumper. They were to large for the original blots so I tapped them to the next larger fractional size. I counted 32 spot welds in each side that need to be drilled out. Job took a day but happy with the results.

      Radiator support

Fits. A lot of spot welds to drill out and well back in. But overall fits nice and looks good! Recommended!
