        New Tires and Wheels

I recently purchased new tires and wheels as a package through American Muscle. I was not disappointed with the product and delivery was not an issue. However, the free mounting and balancing was disappointing. The tire were mounted OK, but two of the four tires had to be re-balanced after I had the tire mounted to the car. I was not a happy camper.

        Really good so far

They have a unique tread design and they are sticky! I have them on a 540 Roush Mustang and they dig very well. Only 4 stars not knowing tread wear.

        1 2008 GT500 - Rjc715

Never go with what they recommend

i Didn’t put the rims and tires on the car right away, I had the car and wheels scheduled to be ceramic coated and the detail shop wanted to do the wheels before being installed on the car. After picking up the car I noticed the tire height difference between front and back (fronts are taller) the tires and wheels where specked by American muscle I guessed the guy would give me matching height profiles, I was wrong now I’m stuck with wheels and tires that look ridiculous, I called they said it was my responsibility to know the heights, I’m willing to buy a new set of rear rims and tires to correct this and asked if there was something they could do about the price the guy said it would be $1,015 online it was $1,023 what a slap in the face that was

        Amazing

These are great tires! I upgraded to these from the 555s These hug corners really nice and stick great when I get on the car. Nitto out did themselves on these I don't think I will buy another tire again unless they make something better which in my opinion would be hard to do.

        5 2017 GT - Matt

        Great tires!

My last set was Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which are exceptional tires. These hook up to the pavement even better than the Michelins. And much better than the P Zeros the car came with from the factory. But I feel that they ride a bit more harsh than both of those. Only had them on for about 1k miles so I can't comment on tread life. Bottom line (my opinions): if you want tires with excellent grip in dry and wet weather, these are a great option. If you want something that's a little more comfortable, go with Michelin or something else.

      5 Top Rated Questions

Would this tire be a good fit and look good on the rear with 255/40 19 tires on the front?

      • I put 255/35/20's on the front with the 295/35/20's on the back. I like the slightly shorter tire on the front for that classic muscle car look.

I'm just trying to replace the same tires I have on my rim right now they are 295/35ZR20 101W. Will this tire be the exact replacement? Does the 101W matter?

      • If you get any other tire with the 295/35/20 dimensions you will be just fine.

are the 275/35or40/18 available in the 220 treadwear Y speed rating?

      • At this time we would not have this tire in the Y speed rating no.

Are the Y rated 220 treadwear tires they spoke of in the video available in the 275/35or40 18 and are they the same price?

      • This tire is available in the 275/35 and 275/40 sizes. Depending on the size of the tire, the price will go up and unfortunately will not be the same.

I was told the best tire for solo autocross was the Bridgestone Potenza RE71R. Have to have minimum 200 treadwear. I would love to try the Nitto Invo Y speed rating with 220 tread wear. Any known comparisons or thoughts??

I have a 2017 gt with 245/40/19 in the front with a 8.5 amr wheel. In the back I have 275/40/19 on a 10 inch rim. My question is can I run 305 on the rear with a 10 inch rim? And what is the max I can run in the front for my 8.5 rim? 1 answer
My current Mustang GT Premium came with the performance package level 1. The manufacture specs for it's wheels and tires are: 19-inch x 9-inch (F)/19-inch x 9.5-inch (R) Aluminum Wheels and 255/40R19 (F) 275/40R19 (R) Tires. The NITTO INVO Ultra-High Performance Tires come in the 255/40R19 size but, not the 275/40R19. My question is, would I cause damage to my car (more specifically the differential) if I used the 275/35R19 NITTO INVO tires on my back wheels instead of 275/40R19 tires like the manufacturer recommends? 1 answer
