I want to replace my o2 sensors but how many do I need to change them all I think I just have 2 My car is a 2012 mustang with bbk headers and x pipe roush mufflers air raid cold air intake bbk throttle body and bama tune but the car has a little bit of a hesitance at idle but runs fine when I'm going so I think the o2 sensors might be bad or burnt from the free flowing exhaust my car has 27000 miles and spark plugs look great no engine light

        • Its possible. Oxygen sensors get a lot of extra airflow to them with longtubes. If ita not throwing a cel tho I'd look into non-foulers.

I have 2013 gt. I put the factory cats back on for inspection but the monitors wont ciear for cats 02 senser and 02heater it doesn't show codes is it possible to have a bad senser

        • The emissions monitors will require you to complete an emissions readiness monitor drive cycle for all monitors to run. Additionally if you have an aftermarket tune this may cause the rear o2 sensors to be deleted or modified. If you have completed a drive cycle and the monitors have not set, we recommend consulting with your tuner to see if O2 sensor parameters have been modified.

            Passed inspection!!

I recently upgraded my car from stock to a Cobra Jet manifold setup with Kooks LT Headers. My original tune had the rear O2 sensors off for ~2000 miles, so I figured everything was fine. Inspection time approached and I was able to get my car Dyno Tuned. So I had my new tuner to "be sure to write me a tune with the sensors on." 50 miles after driving away with the new tune, the CEL pops up with P0158 code. Confirmed with the tuner that it wasn't a tune issue and had my mechanic put on this new NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor. CEL light went away. 50 miles of driving and the car passed with no issue! Thanks a bunch! It's only been a few days, but so far so good. I'll get a backup just to have if/when the other side acts up.

After what felt like a long delivery from AM, the sensor arrived on a Saturday and was installed shortly after. The original o2 wouldn't budge so I ran the car for five or ten minutes, shut it off and put a cold wet rag around the hex of the o2 and a normal open end wrench took it right out. The plug is in a tight spot but it still couldn't be easier. The new o2 comes with anti seize on it. I just didn't know about the m12 and m18 hand tight directions. And still don't. Perfect fit and cleared my p2270 which oddly happened after a boss 302 manifold install. But probably didn't have anything to do with it

            Simple and Works

One of my factory O2 sensors was cross threaded comming out of the factory H-pipe. AM had better prices and quicker shipping than the auto parts stores in town. The part was in good shape and installed with zero issues!

            Great Product

Bought two of these O2 sensors for my new off road X-pipe. Didn't want to remove and use the old ones. I wanted to keep the old H-pipe all together in one piece. Quality Was great, fit was great, received them very fast, car ran great after install, no problems. Driverside connector was hard to get too, in a very tight spot. One thing that was not mentioned in the ad on AM was they came with the anti-seeze already applied to the threads, no need to buy any.
