IF YOU’RE 94-04 V8 OR 95-09 V6 IS SUFFERING FROM POOR FUEL ECONOMY AND PERFORMANCE ALONG WITH THE DREADED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN A YOU MAY NEED TO LOOK INTO A REPLACEMENT O2 SENSOR LIKE THE NTK WE HAVE HERE. THE THREE WIRE OPTION WILL BE A DIRECT FIT FOR THE SN95 OR S197 AND WILL COST AROUND 20-30 BUCKS PER SENSOR. INSTALL WILL BE VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD SO CALL IT 1 OUT OF 3 WRENCHES ON THE DIFFICULTY METER AND MAYBE ABOUT 30 MINUTES OR SO TO GET THE SENSOR SWAPPED OUT. SO IF YOU’RE WATCHING THIS VIDEO THEN CHANCES ARE YOU’VE HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POP UP THAT IS O2 SENSOR RELATED IN YOUR RIDE- THESE CAN RANGE FROM A P0130 ALL THE WAY DOWN THE LINE TO A P0175 AND BASICALLY LEAD TO LOST PERFORMANCE, ROUGH IDLE AND POOR FUEL ECONOMY. NOW ONCE YOU’VE NARROWED DOWN THE CAUSE OF YOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THROUGH YOUR TUNER OR OBD2 READER, YOU NEED TO GRAB THE RIGHT SENSOR OR SENSORS FOR YOUR RIDE.YOUR MUSTANG WILL LIKELY INCLUDE 2 UPSTREAM OR FRONT SENSORS ALONG WITH 2 DOWNSTREAM OR REAR SENSORS. THE NTK I HAVE HERE WILL SERVE AS THE FRONT OR UPSTREAM SENSOR ON THE THE 94-95 GT AND COBRA’S AND THE DOWNSTREAM OR REAR O2 ON EVERYTHING ELSE- SO JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE GRABBING THE RIGHT SENSOR FOR YOUR APPLICATION.ALSO KEEP IN MIND GUYS THAT THE SENSORS ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY FOR THE MID 20 DOLLAR PRICE POINT SO IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO REPLACE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME JUST MAKE SURE YOU GRAB 2 AT CHECKOUT. INSTALLATION WILL BE A BREEZE BARRING ANY EXISTING RUSTY O2 SENSORS SO WE’LL GO 1 OUT OF 3 WRENCHES AND ABOUT 30 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME FROM START TO FINISH. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE JACK AND JACKSTANDS, RAMPS OR A LIFT ALONG WITH AN O2 SENSOR SOCKET OR WRENCH BEFORE GETTING STARTED WITH THE JOB. SO IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO TURN OFF THAT 02 RELATED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IN YOUR SN95 OR EARLY 197 THE AFFORDABLE NTK SENSOR WOULD BE A GREAT CHOICE AND YOU CAN PICK ONE UP HERE AT AMERICANMUSCLEC.OM.

How many O2 sensors? How many front and rear O2 sensors would I need for a 98 V6 Mustang? Please help!
Eduardo, There are a total of 4 oxygen sensors for your model. There are 2 upstream of the catalytic converters and 2 downstream of the catalytic converters. If you don't have catalytic converters installed (i.e. you installed a off-road H-pipe or X-pipe), you will need to purchase the MIL eliminators to "trick" the computer or your check engine light will come on.
I have a 2005 V6 and want to replace all 4 sensors will this fit?
The NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor - Front (94-95 5.0L) - Rear (95-09 V6; 94-04 4.6L) will fit the 2005 V6 mustang how it will only fit for the rear sensors. You will need NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor - Front (99-09 V6; 99-04 4.6L) item number 64044 for the front. http://www.americanmuscle.com/ntk-o2-sensor-22060.html
I have a 2007 V6 and I want to replace all O2 sensors. How many do I need?? front and back? and will this one fit only rear or both?
This NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor will replace your downstream (rear) O2 sensors, of which you will have 2. The NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor linked below will replace your upstream (front) O2 sensors, of which you will also have 2. https://www.americanmuscle.com/ntk-o2-sensor-22060.html
How many 02 sensors does a 2001 Mustang V6 have and where are they located at?
The are four sensors. There are two before the cats, and two behind them, on each the driver and passenger side.
The instructions provide different torque specification for M12 and M18 sensor. How do I know if this sensor is M12 or M18?
This is a M18.
The O2 sensors are on the midpipe. Upstream are before the cats, downstream are after the cats.
The NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor has a 1-year warranty.
Rear O2 sensors will need to be retained or deleted electronically prior to complete removal. Front O2 sensors must be retained as these are crucial to your engine determining the correct air/fuel ratio.
Unfortunately we do not have a listing for the O2 sensor wire colors, as these can vary from year to year and between GT, V6 and Cobra models.
Sensor 1 is going to be the O2 sensors located before your catalytic converter, with sensor 2 being after the catalytic converter. The bank essentially refers to what side the sensor in question is. The bank is tied to the number one cylinder in the engine's firing order. Typically Ford does this first one on the right side, so bank 1 will be right, bank 2 will be left.
The 2001 Mustang comes equipped with 4 oxygen sensors (2 before the catalytic converter, 2 after the catalytic converter).
The NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor will use the stock M8x1.5mm thread pitch.
Most Mustangs are going to be equipped with two front and two rear O2 sensors. Your 2002 GT is going to have those four O2 sensors.
The NTK Performance Oxygen Sensor will fit the following: Front: 94-95 GT and CobraRear: 95-09 V6, 94-04 GT, 03-04 Mach 1, 01 Bullitt, 94-04 Cobra
Yes, this can be used as the O2 sensor for the '94 GT Mustang.
