Description
Rear View Camera Activation. The OBDGenie Rear View Camera Programmer for IO4/IO5/IO6 radios enables vehicle owners to activate factory radio support for an added rear view camera without dealer intervention. By plugging the device into the vehicle’s OBD2 port while in accessory mode, it programs the GM system to display the backup camera feed on the radio screen when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, enhancing safety and convenience.
Construction and Appearance. Expertly engineered and built in the USA, this programmer features durable materials and a compact, robust design intended for reliable long-term vehicle integration without compromising quality or functionality.
Installation. Installation is simple and requires no drilling or specialized tools. With the vehicle in accessory mode, users plug the programmer into the OBD2 port, then wait for confirmation indicated by a green light and/or horn honk. Once confirmed, the upgrade is complete.
Application. Specifically designed for 2016 through 2022 Chevrolet Camaro models, this programmer requires the vehicle to have one of the option codes IO4, IO5, IO6, or IOR on the glove box sticker to ensure compatibility.
