Description
Radio Theft Lock Removal. The OBDGenie VIN Clear Theft Unlock Programmer removes the factory-installed theft lock message on General Motors radios by clearing the VIN number associated with its original vehicle. This essential tool allows proper installation when replacing a GM radio in another compatible vehicle without the radio being disabled.
Construction And Appearance. The programmer features a durable enclosure made in the USA, designed for plug-and-play use. It is compact and finished in a professional, robust style suitable for automotive environments.
Installation. The installation process requires no drilling or vehicle modifications. Simply connect the device to the vehicle’s OBD2 port with the ignition set to accessory mode and wait for the visual and audible confirmation indicating the process is complete.
Application. This programmer is compatible with select GM radios, including 2008-2022 GMC and Chevrolet models; 2015-2020 Cadillac and Buick models; 2008-2020 Escalade; 2013 and newer Trax equipped with XM; and 2012-2020 Sonic equipped with XM.
