Repair Kit. High mileage and/or racing can wear out an alternator long before other major electrical parts fail. That is why PA Performance created a repair kit to replace the high wear components that are prone to fail early. Designed to allow a you to replace those simple wear parts, this kit will breathe new life into your old alternator.

Kit Includes. Each PA Performance Repair Kit comes with a new voltage regulator, new brushes, bearings, as well as new rear bearing tolerance rings that are destroyed at disassembly. Note this is not a full “rebuild” kit (of windings and other major components), but a replacement kit for high wear items.

Application. This PA Performance Alternator Repair Kit is designed for OEM Ford and PA Performance 6G Series Alternators. Fits 1999 to 2004 GT, 2001 to 2004 V6, and 2003 to 2004 SVT Cobra Mustangs that are equipped with a 6G Alternator.

Stock alt? Does any one know for sure if this fits in the stock alt? My regulator went out and this would be cheaper fix. Lol

        • This repair kit can be used on the Ford OEM alternator as well as the PA Performance Aftermarket upgrades. This is not a full rebuild kit, but does replace the voltage regulator. Hope this helps!

            Works great

I recommend doing research before rebuilding an alternator. Luckily I had an old one to tear apart and learn the innards. PA performance rebuilt kit is extremely cost effective, and works like brand new. Highly recommend.

            Alternator repair kit

The kit was exactly what I needed. I didn't think I would need all the bearings but after removal I found that they both needed replacement. My mustang has 120K miles on it. I cleaned up the armature on my drill press and it is charging perfectly 14.2 and settled in at 13.8

            Good alternative to replacement

super easy to install. It took me about 30 mins and I even put the rotor in the lathe to clean up the brush contact area. This fixed my intermittent battery light issue.

            Awesome Product!!

At first I wasn't even sure my alternator was going out, the only symptom I was having was my battery light kept blinking erratically. My Alternator tested fine at AutoZone, So I didn't want to spent $200 bucks on a new one. I bought this rebuild kit, Rebuilt my alternator in about an hour, Now its testing 15Vt. No more erratic battery light, problem solved!! Thanks AM!!

Big money saver if you have the ability.

Saved me $200 by buying this kit as opposed to buying a whole new alternator, plus it was fun rebuilding my alt. myself. Definitely recommend if u have the knowhow. Thanks AM!

            Saved me 200$!!

Installed in my TuffStuff alternator when the regulator went on it. Think this will fit most gen 6 alternators. Suggest you have a proper press to install the new bearings, and a 3pt puller to remove the old ones.
