Hi will this work in going from a 4g alt to a 6g alt

    • Hello! No, this plug is for a 4G alternator, if you are switching to a 6G you will need the harness for that.

So I'm installing a custom built Mach 1 engine into my GT Mustang. I was wondering if this would fit on the upgraded (130 AMP) Alternator I got. The female plug on the alternator is a D style plug and I can't tell if this would work or not on my alternator.

    • This PA Performance 6G to 4G Alternator Plug Upgrade (99-04 GT) is for upgrading from a 6G to a 4G alternator. Its main use is for Creating Clearance for a Bullitt Manifold Install. I cannot say for sure if it will work in your application but with these specs you should be able to determine that.

      worked perfect

This piece took my hack job rig and fixed it right up. If youre doing a different alternator, save the headache and get this to. Plug and play.

      just what my car needed

As described but no instructions, so here's the million Dollar question that no one seams to know? Why make a third wire hang off that goes nowhere, if its not supposed to attach to anything?

      Great little wire

This adapter plug is great, makes for a clean connection rather then splicing wires together. Using it to put a bullitt manifold on my 04 GT as it requires a 4g alternator and not the factory 04 alternator (6g). Works great. Thanks AM

      Simple fix to alternator swap!

Easy to do! Just change alternator and plug it up. Would be nice to know what to do with the little single wire though.
