Hey, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com checking out a couple of upper and lower grill options available for your new V6. I'm talking about Modern Billet's retro-style upper and lower billet grills fitting all 2013 and newer Mustangs available in your choice of either black or polished. As you might have guessed from the name, Modern Billet is a company that specializes in making a number of different styling accessories for your Mustang using nothing but 100% solid billet aluminum. Now if you want to see more products from Modern Billet and other companies, you have to subscribe to our YouTube channel by clicking on the banner below. These retro-style grills from Modern Billet were designed to give the front end of your 2013 and '14 V6 a totally unique look by deleting the factory honeycomb grill along with that running pony emblem. Now this makes for a more cleaner, some would even say a more aggressive look overall. In fact, I encourage you to read what some of our customers are saying about these grills by clicking on the link to go back to our site and reading up on some of those customer reviews.Taking a closer look at the grills themselves, you'll notice the upper grill does feature a 7-bar design while that lower grill features a 5-bar design. Now both are constructed using that 100% solid billet aluminum I talked about earlier and have been designed using original 4 CAD data ensuring an absolute perfect fit. Again, the grills are available in a bright polished finish. Or you can go for a slightly more subdued semi-gloss black finish like we have installed on the V6 behind me. Now whatever option you do decide to go with, you can always add an optional tri-bar pony emblem into the mix just to achieve a look similar to those iconic '60s and '70s pony cars. I did want to point out that the upper and lower grills are available separately. So, for instance, if you really dig the look of the upper grill but would prefer to leave the lower portion stock, you totally could. However, a majority of our customers really do like pairing both grills together, like we've done is this video. Not only does it really hammer home that custom retro look, but you'll also save yourself a few bucks in the process if you do purchase both at the same time. Now that upper grill has been designed as a complete replacement while the lower portion is simply an overlay. Therefore, your install times will vary slightly. The upper grill does require the removal or slight drop down of your front bumper just to gain access to all the screws and clips. Therefore, you can expect to spend about an hour getting that one done. On the other hand, since that lower grill is an overlay, it's a lot easier and it should only take you about 30 minutes from start to finish. Either way, if you did have any questions about the grills or about the installs themselves, don't hesitate to get in touch with one of our Mustang experts. If you're a big fan of the clean retro-styling made possible thanks to a set of billet grills, then you have to check out these options from Modern Billet available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Solid Grille for the Money
Let me preface this by saying I had exactly zero experience with removing pieces of cars, and that this took me roughly 4-5 hours taking my sweet time. Love the look and would highly recommend. A few tips: Jacking up the car isnt necessary to remove the bumper (I just drove up on a few pieces of wood to get the room needed.) Definitely try to get somebody to help pulling the bumper off and fitting it back on, as it was tricky to do myself.Helpful (1)

Bought as a father's day gift. Good quality product, however does NOT fit a 2014 mustang V6 equipped with a pony package grille. The pony pack grille is 1 piece and the honeycomb section this grille replaces does not separate from the surround. Be mindful when purchasingHelpful (2)

I have 2014 V6. I love the upper and lower grill. Only thing is that it’s hard to clean. But very easy to install I recommend to buy new ones after 3 years.Helpful (2)

Killer Grille......Tough Install Though
Set aside about 2-2 1/2 hours for this. The bottom grill is just a cover over the existing grille. Took me about 5 minutes for that one. The upper one is a completely different story. 1st tip - put some tape along the outer grille surround otherwise you will scratch it up with the grille you're installing. 2nd tip - The upper grille requires you to drill two holes to secure the bottom part. I chose not to do this as the top two bolts secured the grille properly. 3rd tip - when removing the existing grille from your bumper (which you'll need to remove) be careful, I broke 4 clips. Other than that, it came out great. The grille is really aggressive looking, I chose to go badgeless. A little expensive though but definitely worth it.Helpful (4)

Love this look
I traded my '13 MCA coupe for a '14 V6 convertible. As loaded as it was, it had the standard honeycomb grill. American Muscle had a great price and it actually shipped in 1 day! I took my time after watching a few youtube videos since the included directions are a little lacking. Simple hand tools and the fit was fine. the upper tabs had to be bent a little but that's a small price to pay for the sleek look this grill insert offers.Helpful (5)

Absolutely Beautiful, Installation Though...
The grille is beautiful, solid, good quality. Very happy with it since I installed it yesterday, I'll post photos of my own soon. To help you out, some VERY important installation notes for those of us who don't do this regularly: Even if you have a V6, you will need to read the installation guide labeled "How To Install Billet Replacement Grilles on Your 2013 Mustang GT". The grilles even ship with this installation guide but reading the title and knowing that there are two different grilles for the GT and V6 had me overlooking this... It shows you that the installation on the V6 REQUIRES drilling, though it's only 4 holes and very simple/easy. (this was my first project... ever, and I had no trouble with this) The customer submitted V6 installation guide is MUCH better at helping you understand what screws to remove and where they are (important), BUT it implies that you just slip the grille in... nope, you have to drill the 4 holes to fasten the grille (again, easy), and you will likey have to bend the tabs in the back so that tightening them doesn't press the flexible "chrome surround" out of shape for re-installation. Kind of frustrating at first, but nothing to worry about and you'll do fine. Minor points that are very important to keep in mind. Did I mention this thing is gorgeous?Helpful (6)
I have the lower billet grill currently on, but it’s one I painted black. How do I remove the bottom portion of the grille? So I can replace it with the polished grille I just got.
To remove the lower grille, you will have to remove the bumper.
My car is the pony package will the both lower and upper grille fit? If not what grille would fit?
The Modern Billet Retro Grille will not work on Mustangs with the Pony Package. You will want to look at the Roush, Cervini, Ford, and Anderson Composites brand grilles we currently offer for fitment on the Pony Package equipped Mustangs.
Can you use the big stock pony emblem instead of the tri-bar pony or will i need to get a grill with a space for it? I dont want to get the ones that look like rubber covers
This grille is not designed for the stock pony emblem no.
Wanting to get both upper and lower. Will the upper grill work with the 2013 V6 Pony Package, or will new grill support be needed? Wondering because the V6 Base and Premium have different grills then what the Pony Package comes with. Thank You!
This grille is not compatible with V6 Pony Package models.
Application Lower grille, if they fit for Mustang v6 2014 MODELClub america, cause i broke mine Regards
The Modern Billet Polished Retro Grille (13-14 V6) will fit for all V6 models in 2013 & 2014 as the grille is an overlay over the factory.
