      Powerful Starting Performance. The Powermaster PowerMAX Starter; 164-Tooth; Chrome delivers robust starting torque of 160 lb/ft, designed to handle engines with moderate compression ratios. It is engineered to efficiently crank engines with a reliable gear reduction drive system, ensuring dependable starts for manual transmission vehicles with a 164 tooth flywheel.

      Construction and Appearance. This starter features a durable cast aluminum mounting block and a steel gear insert for enhanced strength compared to plastic OEM counterparts. The chrome finish provides a clean, corrosion-resistant surface that complements performance engine bays.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, utilizing the Infini-Clock mounting system for precise alignment. It replaces OEM starters with an extended nose with a 3/8 inch offset and fits within the stock starter mount area.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit the 79-83 5.0L Mustang with manual transmission, ensuring exact original fit and compatibility with standard 164-tooth ring gears.
