Hey, Stephanie with taking a closer look at Power Stop's Z26 Street Warrior cross-drilled front and rear brake rotor and ceramic pad kit, available for '94 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that produces quality braking components with the goal of giving you increased stopping power for an affordable price. We've had some experience with Power Stop's brake package for the newer Mustang on our 2014 project car build, Project Coyote. The Power Stop Z26 Street Warrior kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about all '94 to 2014 Mustangs including the '11 to '14 Brembo equipped cars. Now this is a really cost effective kit, especially when you consider what you're getting. The Power Stop includes the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors, in addition to the brand new carbon fiber infused ceramic pads for all four corners. American Muscle also sells all of these same components individually as well, so you can pick up what you need without purchasing the entire kit if need be. Now that you guys know what's included, let's break down the components a little further starting with the rotors. Now as I mentioned earlier, you're getting two front and two rear rotors with the kit. And as you can see, they're both drilled and slotted. Having a drilled and slotted rotor like this will be beneficial because it will reduce the heat in your brakes that may lead to excessive brake feed after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have bevel drill holes to keep temps down during use, as well as rounded slots to help maintain a clear contact patch for the pad and the rotor. The rotors have also been silver zinc plated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion, ensuring that the rotors will look good for years to come. And speaking of looking good, performance benefits aside, a set of drill and slotted rotors look killer. And they do add a more aggressive look to your Mustang, especially if you have a wheel design like the MMD 551C. Or a set of AMRs. Or Bullitts, for instance, where you can really see a lot of the rotor. In fact, you can head back to the site if you're not there already, to check out some customer- submitted reviews and images of this Power Stop kit installed on a wide variety of Mustangs. As for the pads, the Power Stop kit utilizes a carbon fiber infused ceramic pad, which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, the ceramic compound will increase the overall stopping power by allowing the pads to handle higher brake temperatures with less heat fade. The ceramic compound in this pad will also be quiet and produce less dust when compared to other materials, keeping your wheels cleaner in the process. As for the install, you'll need some basic hand tools along with a jack or a lift. Since you're tackling all four corners, it might take you a few hours, about three or so, to get the job done. The kit also includes all the necessary hardware making the install that much easier. One very important step. Whenever installing a new set of rotors and pads, it is very important to follow the manufacturer's bleeding process and braking procedures just to get the optimal performance and wear from your new setup. I love these pads and rotors on my 99 Cobra, big improvement in stopping power over stock. However, after 15K miles they squeak fairly often at slow speeds like in the drive-thru and parking lots. There's plenty of wear left. Anyone else have this issue?


Will this product work with brembo front brake calipers on a 2004 Cobra?

what is the diameter Hello I was wondering what is the diameter of the front and rear rotor


  • The fronts are 13 inches and the rear are 11.65 inches. You must have the Cobra/Mach 1/Bullitt brackets (rear) and calipers (all). These will not fit a stock GT or V6 SN95.

    Great Addition, you want these!!!

    I was given a set of these as a gift. Let me tell you this. First, have a lift available, IF you have access to one. You CAN DO the install in your garage/driveway, its just not as easy on the back or knees, lol. They will take about an hour a wheel without a lift and using just regular hand tools, at least that's how long it took me, and I am an experienced Technician. you will also need to get Two different brake caliper compressors, you can rent them. you can get by in the front using big "C" clamps, but that's not my recommendation. The rear calipers do require a special twist in style compressor. Second, the embedding procedure does throw heavy brake dust on your wheels so make sure right after you to the embedding you clean off your wheels- DO NOT WIPE THEM IF YOU HAVE BLACK WHEELS!!!! it will put "spider-web" scratches in your wheel's coating that you will have to polish out (ask me how I know, lol). Other than those two things, this is definitely a brake kit you want to buy!! I love them! they look sharp, and really do add a much better braking force, even with factory brake lines, I can only imagine how they feel with Stainless Lines (coming soon). I wish I would have had a set of these on my 2002 GT, back when I had that. They are Awesome, and really look good, on my 94 Cobra. Don't wait, these are the brakes you have been looking for!!

    Power Stop Z26 Street Warrior Brake kit

    The price, slotted, and drilled rotors caught my attention when looking for a brake upgrade. The kit is well built and the stopping power over stock is instantly noticeable! Installation was easy and did not take long. While driving on the highways, stopping power is a must. My stock brake setup was not cutting it and made me feel unsafe while driving. Now I do not have to worry as much for that random citizen whom always slam on their brakes at the last second.

    Low Dust, Power Stop!

    A product that delivers what it says! My wheels now stay 90 cleaner than the stock Ford Cobra pads with slotted rotors that I replaced with this kit. I hated cleaning those every week. Low dust, thank you Power Stop. These kick in the ABS a lot sooner which means to me they also deliver advertised improvement in stopping power I need with a supercharged car. Look great. Quick and easy to follow bedding-in procedure. No noise, chatter or mineral discoloration so far. Best thing I did for my Stang in a long time.

    Big Brakes without Big Brake Kit Cost

    I picked these up for a project car, not a mustang, so they are not fully installed just yet, so I cannot leave an honest rating for stopping power and fit, as its a custom application. The brakes arrived well packaged, and I made sure to check all the item upon arrival, because I know how some delivery companies can just completely destroy your package in shipment... That'll be a story for a different day... The brakes arrived with out a scratch in shipping, and the pads did not have any cracks from handling. The brakes are absolutely huge, as the pictures do no do any justice. Additionally, they were machined pretty well and did not have a burr from machining. Hopefully, these will get retro-fitted on, and I will leave another review on how they perform.

    Great product!

    Easy install, fit and finish seem great. Only time will tell how well they wear. As for stopping power, they are what you'd expect. I still need to bleed my fluid as its pretty old and I think that will make the brakes really perform. As for installation, save yourself the hassle and rent the brake tool from your auto parts shop. You can turn in the piston with a pliers, but its a real pain and will take a long time.

    Best brakes and Rotors upgrade I've had

    I put these brakes and Rotors upgrade on my 97 Cobra SVT MUSTANG and have been more than pleased . They are a bit noisy until good and seated in but once they are seated they are quiet and have superior stopping power . Quite the upgrade over factory I would highly recommend the package deal. And the shipping was at my house in 2 days from time of order . The fitment of product was similar to factory no modifications needed . Now I can't wait to see how they act at the dragstrip

    Great Brakes!!

    Brakes are great at stopping and great looking! Had some small issues getting the rear pistons to retract, just because I didn't do enough research on how to. I am really happy with this kit. Only thing that could have been better is to include some Matte Black calipers.

    what can I say...AWESOME PRODUCT

    After receiving this kit I was impressed off the bat. Beafy and we'll made. I have had other kits similar on other vehicles of mine and I will say the stopping power is fantastic. Super easy to install. Basic hand tools and a Jack is required.
