Reduce Unsprung Weight. QA1's Eco-Comp Tubular Control Arms are the perfect budget minded solution to reduce the unsprung front end weight in your Mustang while improving the overall weight distribution, making them ideal for race applications.

Tubular Weight Saving Construction. Constructed from Tubular Steel these QA1 control arms are lighter than stock and feature increased strength and rigidity by design. They are completed in a durable black powder coated finish for long-lasting good looks.

Compressed Rubber Bushings. Engineered with performance in mind, these QA1 Eco-Comp Mustang Control Arms feature compressed rubber bushings to offer value without sacrificing handling performance.

Application. This set of two QA1 Eco-Comp Tubular Front A-Arms are designed to fit the 1994 to 2004 Mustangs equipped with either the 5.0L or 4.6L V8 engine, including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and SVT Cobra.

Technical Note. QA1 tubular control arms require the use of QA1 coil-over struts and QA1 caster/camber plates.

So outside of the weight issue if I bought these they would mount to my 98 3.8?

  • Unfortunately, these a-arms are only designed to fit on a V8. They may not be a direct bolt up to your 3.8L.

These do come with ball joints in them already right?

  • The QA1 Tubular A-Arms would include ball joints already mounted to the control arms.

are this arms DOT approved and for street use ?????

  • There is no DOT compliance number needed for the QA1 Tubular A-Arms and are legal for street use. Please note that these do not have spring perches and require the use of QA1 coil-over struts and QA1 caster/camber plates with the installation of the A-Arms.

I plan on installing these on a 01 Bullit will they work with SR performance Coil over Kit? What would you guys recommend for K member?

  • This QA1 Tubular A-Arms is specifically designed to accompany QA1's coil-over kit, and all other installations may require modification for proper fitment. For the best fitment, we highly recommend QA1's K member, whose link is attached below:

is their any particular reason why these arms can't be used with other struts with coilovers?

  • The QA1 A arms are designed only to be used with QA1 coilovers due to the mounting method they utilize.

I see this says it will only fit a v8, and in the q A it says it will not fit a v6 of the same year. I'm curious as to why since the stock GT and stock 3.8/3.9 have the same front control arms. I'm really wanting tubular front arms so i'm hoping this has been found to fit v6's. 1 answer
Will the Steeda X2 ball joints work in these a-arms. I have them installed with the SR coilover kit and the a-arm geometry is screwed at the ride height I plan to run. I need to have the additional height of the X2 ball joints to flatten out the a-arm. Thanks 1 answer

Do these come with new lower brushings? Hi, i have a 2001 Bullitt and recently i have been getting a whining sound when i turn the wheel to the right from the left front side. So i put my car up on a lift and the sound seems to be coming from the location of the lower A arm brushing. I asked on of my mechanics, and he said it may just be worn brushings that need replaced, or something happened to the control arm one way or another and its causing binding in the brushing which is causing the sound. So to appease both sides i figured my as well go with new aftermarket control arms, but do these also come with new lower brushings? 1 answer

    Great product, easy installation

    I replaced the entire A-arm due to worn out bushings and ball joints. This is a great product for a good price. Not a bad install at all.

    Love the change

    It took me a few to get these in, they were a tight fit as was expected goign from old to new, but love the handling improvement, the weight reduction, love this product so much I went ahead and got the QA1 14" 350# coil over springs as well, well done QA1!!!!

    Perfect for drag car!

    These a arms are perfect fit to complete the tubular front end on my drag car. The fit and finish are as good as you can expect. They are easy on the eyes and the wallet too.

    This is a ultra light weight product.Great ball joints and bushings..Improves cornering and Is a must to free up a few Pounds.For the price cant be beat.

    Quality with a reasonable price!

    Installed these A arms with the QA1 Kmember on my 96 Cobra today. Install was very straight forward but had to some slight modifications to make the install. First and foremost, I had to cut,drill, and tap the tube for the steering rack mount. This was done because I have solid bushings and wanted to retain them. Having to do this is not a design flaw on behalf of QA1 as it is designed for a regular bushing just like the stock. Second, the firewall side bolt of the a arm had to have the head notched for clearance to install it. Not sure if this is an issue with the stock kmember as I installed it in the QA1 one. However this is only a minor thing as I reused the stock bolts and I'm sure I could have found some that would have went in with no issues but this was easier. Overall, very happy with the purchase and with AM. Who else can send a Kmember kit with free shipping?

    Great Product

    I installed these on my QA1 k member without a problem at all, but i dont know if its the k member or the control arms, but it throws your caster off by alot giving you un-even tire wear. i also used to have QA1's old tubular control arm setup with the center brace in it and the poor quality plastic bushings that they no longer manufacture. but when i got this product in the mail i was a little concerned about the missing center brace thier engineers took out. but it is holding up well so far and i drive over train tracks and michigans "Awsome"roads as a daily driver, no problems.
