Removal of stock Shift Knob
1. Twist Shift Knob, with hand, counter clockwise to unscrew.
Stock Shift Knobs are usually stuck on tight.
Installation of New Shift Knob (Without Shift Boot Retainer)
1. Twist Bolt on Clockwise until at desired height. (Crescent wrench may be needed.)
2. Twist Shift Knob on clockwise until it reaches the bolt.
3. If pattern does not line up:
1. Slightly unscrew Shift Knob.
2. Adjust bolt (Up if pattern needs to rotate counter clockwise. Down if pattern needs to rotate clockwise)
3. Tighten Shift Knob back down.
Stay patient with step 3 and keep working with it to make the pattern straight.
After (Without Shift Boot Retainer)
Installation of New Shift Knob (With Shift Boot Retainer)
1. Twist Retainer on clockwise until at desire height.
2. Connect leather to retainer by inserting it into the groove on bottom part of retainer.
3. Twist Shift Knob on clockwise until it meets retainer.
4. If pattern does not line up:
1. Slightly unscrew Shift Knob.
2. Adjust Shift Boot Retainer (Up if pattern needs to rotate counter clockwise. Down if pattern needs to rotate clockwise)
3. Tighten Shift Knob back down.
Stay Patient with Step 4 and keep working with it to get the pattern straight
After (With Shift Boot Retainer)
