    Street or Strip. Powergrip HD sets are the ultimate for extreme street/strip Mustang performance. And if you are replacing your clutch it is also a good idea to replace your Clutch Cable and Quadrant at the same time to prolong the life of your new Clutch.

    Superior Design. RAM Powergrip HD Mustang Clutch kits utilizes a proprietary 900 series friction material in conjunction with increased clamp load pressure plates, you get maximum holding power for track or street, with only minimal reduction in driveability.

    Application. The RAM Powergrip HD Clutch kits are the performance clutch for big power street/strip Mustangs. The Powergrip HD Mustang Clutch is designed for the 2001-2004 GT, 1999-2004 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 Mustangs that have upgraded to a 26 spline input shaft. Some chatter will occur on takeoff. Use only with RAM billet steel or factory nodular iron (explosion resistant) flywheels.

    • Fits: 2003-2004 Cobra with a T-56 and a 26 spline input shaft upgrade
    • Fits: 2003-2004 Mach 1 with a TR3650 and a 26 spline input shaft upgrade
    • Fits: 2001 Bullitt with a T-45 or TR3650 and a 26 spline input shaft upgrade
    • Fits: 2001-2004 GT with a T-45 or TR3650 and a 26 spline input shaft upgrade

            Working well so far

            Supercharged Built 04 gt with 610 rwhp 500 tq. The bad- some light chatter when slipping the clutch out and a bit stiffer then stock. The good- so far holding up strong to 610 rwhp and sticky tires currently about 1000 street miles on build with no track time or clutch dumps but heavy street pulls and hard shifts.

            Awesome Clutch

            My cobra's stock clutch started to slip, bought this one and the flywheel and its perfect match and grips nicely without a harsh pedal.

            Fantastic clutch. Rivals the Spec 3+ it replaced

            This is my first time using a Ram clutch. I have run (2) Spec 3+ clutches. Recently damaged my Spec 3+ due to my negligence. I needed a clutch fast and AM didn't offer a Spec 3+, so I rolled the dice and bought the Ram power clutch they sell which has a similar power rating that the Spec 3+ does. I've got over 500 miles on this clutch and it doesn't chatter like the Spec 3+ did and I'm very impressed with how smooth it is, compared to the Spec 3+ that I've run. I would recommend this clutch to anyone who is putting down over 500hp to the tire, like I do. Curious to see how many miles I get out of this clutch though. My first Spec 3+ lasted 54k.

            Nice clutch

            I have less than 500 miles on the clutch so far but my initial drive was good. I thought this clutch was going to be very on off but its surprisingly easy to drive.

            Grabs hard with low pedal effort

            I have been drag racing my mustang for about 12 years, so I have been through a few transmisisons and many clutches. This Ram powergrip HD is my 6th clutch and my favorite so far. The other clutches either grabbed great at the dragstrip but were a pain to drive on the street, or were very streetable but slipped too much on the dragstrip at high RPMs. I have a vortech supercharger, which makes all its power up top, so I cannot afford to have a clutch that slips at high rpms. So far, this Ram HD has been the best of both worlds. Very easy to slip in traffic, light pedal effort, but grabs like a 6-puck on the dragstrip. First time out at the strip, I got my best 60ft time (1.48s) on my very first pass. I am noticing that after about 500 miles, the pedal effort has increased slightly. I just hope the clutch performance doesn't change. If it does, I will update my review. But for now, I am a happy camper. I almost feel guilty for having a clutch that grabs so hard with such little pedal effort.

            amazing product, so far no issues.

            the clutch installed with not issues. the pedal is just about the same pressure as stock. haven't heard any noises as of right now. but its still in the break in period. awesome product.

            RAM Powergrip HD

            Ive had the Ram Powergrip HD clutch/steel flywheel installed for less than 100 miles. The clutch pedal feel is almost identical to the stock feel which is what I wanted. Although I still have around 400 miles to break in, there is no chatter, noise, or smells fom clutch. I would reccomend this to anyone that wants a stock feel and a clutch that can handle up to 650 horses.
