I have a 03 Cobra with the back window molding which is quite messed up. Will install this lower and the upper piece require the rear window to be removed?

Alex

  • Hello! Installing the Ford Rear Lower Window Glass Molding does not require removal of the window.

I have one of these but I cannot get it to stay in place. Is there any type of adhesive I can purchase to make it stay? On my car, there is some type of foam under the glass that blocks the rubber molding from 'catching' if that makes any sense.

ColinA

  • You can try removing the foam under the glass that blocks the rubber molding from catching and see if that works. This piece should just go on either the decklid lip between that and the glass or slip on to the glass and seal between the glass and decklid. Hope this helps!

I love that complete look after putting this on my car. There was a section that was torn out when I bought the car and it absolutely irritated me knowing it was there. I wouldn't take my car to a show till I put the new one on. The videos made it look easy; but after being baked in the Florida sun for 18 yrs., This old girl had a little trouble getting the old one off. The new one looks great!

    Great product!

Fitment was great and installation was pretty easy. Be sure to clean the old glue off completely and press the new molding all the way into place so the new glue can set. Molding looks better than factory.

    A little warped

The rear window molding was a little warped. It left room for water to run down in the trunk. Hopefully after it warms up a little it will fit better. I installed it at the beginning of spring and I don't have a garage. I'm hoping as summer starts the warp will go away. I can't recommend this product just yet. Maybe later.

I'm sorry to hear the lower window molding you received seemed warped. It should definitely be fitting without issue so please give our customer service a call when you have a moment. We'd be happy to help get this corrected for you.

    Fits like OEM.

Fit like it should. Had no problems with it whatsoever. You may need someone to help you hold it in place while the glue dries but other than that its a very simple and straightforward install.

    Fits like a glove!

This item is factory fit and finish ! Just take note of the gap the original piece has on both ends and make that your starting point then press it in slightly to the other end.Once your satisfied its centered , work it up on the glass from one end to the other to seat the installed glue strip and done.
