- How to Install Roush High Flow Upper Grille on your Mustang
Hey, I'm Alex from AmericanMuscle.com, and today I'm bringing you my quick review and breakdown of the Roush High Flow Upper Grille, fitting your 2013 and 2014 Mustang GT and V6. So in this video, I'm gonna give you a quick idea of the construction and materials that went into this grille, what you should expect to be paying, who this might appeal to, and then last but not least, we're gonna hit the installation. But right off the bat, guys, you're going to be looking at a very easy, one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and about an hour to get this onto your Mustang. So this grille is gonna appeal to the 2013 and 2014 Mustang owner that's not really too fond about just how bland the front end of your car looks, and that wants to make a very bold and aggressive statement from a brand like Roush, that's known to not only make some really incredible cars but parts as well. So this grille's not only gonna turn heads, be it on the track or your daily commute, but I personally guarantee that whenever you're walking away from your car you're definitely gonna turn around and get a good look at it. Additionally, from an aesthetic's perspective, you're actually going to be picking up a bit of improved airflow. Roush's five bar design, right here, is actually going to help channel more air under your hood and hit your radiator, so you're gonna be performing a little bit better. So, something else I definitely like about this grille is that if your Mustang came equipped with fog lights in your center grille, this is essentially going to delete them, which in my opinion gives you a little bit more of a menacing and sinister look. Now, if you do want to retain those fog lights, you definitely can do so, but you're probably going to need to mount up a little bit of a bracket behind them, and then either you can space them in the center or out towards the sides. So, taking a quick look at the construction and materials here. If you've ever seen a Roush in person, you're probably familiar with just how well-built their cars are, and this grille is going to be just like that as it's gonna be comprised of some of the best materials out there today. So the grille itself here is gonna be manufactured from injection-molded ABS plastic, which is also gonna be utilizing CAD data directly from Ford to ensure that you're going to have a perfect finish on your 2013-2014. So additionally we're going to see the grille's gonna be finished off in a black texturized stipple finish, which in my opinion is going to mesh very well with both light and dark colored cars. So, depending on where your build's gonna be taking you, be it a chrome theme or kind of a sleeper theme, this is gonna offset that very nicely either which direction you're going to be going for. After that, this is actually gonna be used to ensure that it does not pit or fade over time, so you can rest easy knowing this is gonna hold up in regards to any type of exposure to weather, or anything else you're gonna be coming across on the roads. So, in terms of the pricing here guys, you should expect to be spending right around 200 bucks for this upper replacement grille. And I gotta be honest, for a Roush product, I think that is a steal. Again, you're gonna be getting some head-turning menacing looks with a unique five bar design. Additionally, you're gonna be improving your airflow to your radiator, upwards of 40%. For the money here, again, I think this is a huge bargain as, if you're gonna shop this in comparison with some of the other options out there, you're going to see that they could easily top the scales north of even $400 or $500. So, digging into the installation here, I'm gonna give you a quick, abridged version on exactly how you're gonna need to get this on, but there might be a couple steps omitted here. But Roush is gonna have you covered as the install info that's gonna come with this is definitely to the point and it's not gonna leave any guesswork on the table. So you're gonna need to start by pulling your rad cover and then you're gonna need to loosen up a couple bolts that are gonna be in your wheel wells in order to remove your front fascia. After this, you're then gonna need to pull the air deflector, which is then gonna give you access to the bumper itself, where you can then move on to the next step here. So once that's done essentially all you need to do is remove the factory grille from the bumper and replace it with this one, and you're good to go. It honestly could not be any easier, as you're not gonna have to do any type of cutting or modification to your mustang, as this is gonna come supplied with a couple clips here, and it's really a no-brainer installation. All right so just to wrap things up, some final thoughts on this grille from Roush here. I definitely like this option, not only based on the fact that these guys have been around for quite some time, they make a really great looking car, and all of their other parts here are built to spec with some of the best materials out there available. And not only will you be getting some sinister looks but you're actually gonna be improving your airflow up to 40% to your radiator, which at the end of the day's gonna make your Mustang perform that much more effectively. So that's my quick review and breakdown for the Roush High Flow Upper Grille, fitting your 2013 and 2014 Mustang GT and V6, available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Cheap Materials and Clips Can Scratch Paint
The grill looks great. But the materials are cheap. the metal clips that come with it fall off easily and can scratch the paint when popping the grill in. After 1 day of driving some of the metal clips popped out and the grill was not secure. I also lightly scratched the bumper cover right below the grill. I took the grill off and am going to apply adhesive to the clips so they stay on the grill. I will also cover the metal portion with tape to prevent scratching. Overall I expected more for the price and from a name like Roush.Helpful (0)

Roush Upper Grille
I was wanting a horizontal grille and Roush provided. I’m giving 4 stars only because of the quality of install, other than that it’s a great product. While installation is simple and straightforward, the metal tabs given could have been substituted for something more practical. Once I popped the grille into place, several tabs kept falling off and had to be reattached. Even once all the tabs were on, the grille still felt like it would fall out if forced enough. I added 5 minute JB Weld to all the tabs amd that greatly secured it into place.Helpful (1)

Clean look, simple installation.
You can never go wrong with Roush products. The upper grille was a simple install. It does require you to remove your front bumper however don't worry, Roush includes simple and easy to follow instructions to guide you. The upper grille fits perfectly (installed on my 2014 mustang) with no gaps anywhere around the grille surround. No issues here!Helpful (6)

Worth the $?
So... I have mixed opinions on this grille. I waited several months before finally making a decision and choosing the Rouch. My reasons for deciding to spend the extra $ were, I wanted a "replacement" grille, not one that went over the top of the stock grille and I prefer the billet look over others. It really cleaned up the front of the car and I have been happy with my purchases through AM in the past. BUT... Beware that the upper grille insert has a gloss look to it, while the lower does not. The description states they are made from the same finish. They are not. While most people may not notice. I do. I spent $450 on a PLASTIC grille. Frankly, I expected more. Customer service assured me I didn't order wrong and the description does say it's the same finish but unfortunately it is not. They offered me a meager $25 account credit. Sorry guys. You lost my business. Obviously I could probably have returned it but since it was already installed before we really noticed how different each peice was. Its staying. It DID improve the front end of my Mustang. But Shame on you American Muscle for not giving accurate descriptions. It went in pretty easily, everything fitting as it should. Again... consider other options if you're a stickler like me. For the money, there are probably better options out there.Helpful (7)

2014 V6 with Pony Package Fitment will this Roush grille fit my 2014 V6 with the Pony Package? because I know that the way the pony package grille is mounted is different than the base grille. And will the tribar grille badge that is sold here on americanmuscle.com fit on this grille? thank you!
I was told all you need is to buy the surround.
Does the Roush badge come off? I'm not a fan of having badges for something I don't have, so I'd want to remove the Roush badge. Is it easily removable, like clipped on, or would it have to be cut off?
The Grille Emblem shown is not included with the grille so you don't have to worry about removing it.
Hello, will I have to remove my fog lights that are behind the grill? The description says “Fog Lights delete” but I see a fee pics of people’s car with the fog lights still there
This is indeed intended to remove your fog lights. With modification, it seems to be possible to keep the fog lights, as proven by some customer photos, however we are unaware of what modifications these would be.
Is the GT hood for 2013/2014 the same size as the V6 hood........putting a GT hood on the V6 would give it more of a great look?
We recommend checking with Ford Performance to confirm fitment of the GT hood with a V6 model. Their contact number is (800) 367-3788.
Will this fit onto a 2011 gt500? Doesn't list, but the front fascia besides the small in number fog lights should be the same.
Unfortunately this grille will not fit a 2011 GT500. Only the 13-14 Mustang GT/V6 models.
The Roush High Flow Upper Grille will not be polished. At this time a polished version is not available.
At this point in time we do not have any update on a lighted version of this grille and have no updates on production, a price point, or a release date. We would advise to bookmark our site page as if and when this is released you will be of the first to know!
Yes, the fog lights for the pony package would have to be deleted to work with this grille, otherwise the grille would have to be modified to accept the fog lights in some way, which is not recommended.
Yes, the grille surround is incorporated into the upper grille itself.
Hi, This Roush High Flow Upper Grille will work with your 2014 Pony package Mustang.
The factory fog lights can be hidden behind the Roush High Flow Upper Grille, you will just need make your own mounting points for the lights. There is plenty of room behind the grille for the light to fit but this grille will delete your factory mounting points for those lights.
You will be able to fit the Tri-Bar emblem on the Roush High Flow Upper Grille (13-14 GT, V6).
Yes, the entire fog light mount will come off for the install of this Grille. The Roush Grille does not offer any mounting points for the fog lights.
The chrome strip is in the stock grille. The Roush grille replaces the entire grille and the surround.
Yes. Bumper removal is required but it fits right in easily :) I just installed it on my 2013 V6 w/ PP.
