What's up guys? I am Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and welcome to my complete breakdown of the RTR Tactical Performance Rear Adjustable Upper Control Arm and Mount fitting your '11 to'14 Mustang.Your rear upper control arm is just one of three links in your S197's rear suspension, the lower control arms being the other two, and as you might expect, is very important when it comes to both your traction and your handling performance, but even more important when it comes to adjusting your instant center and also your pinging angle, especially for those of you out there with lowered Mustangs and one-piece drive shafts.Vaughn and his team at RTR took a tactical approach when it came to designing and developing an adjustable rear upper control arm that will help you and your Mustang no matter what the situation. Whether you're trying to drop the 60-foot times at the drag strip or whether you are trying to put that power down coming out of turns on the back roads or at the race track itself. Now the result is this very easy-to-adjust upper control arm while on the car, it's going to eliminate any wheel hop and excess movement of the rear axle itself by eliminating those soft rubber factory bushings that do a great job of soaking up all the road noise and vibration but leave a lot to be desired when it comes to all out performance. But without a doubt the star of the tactical performance adjustable rear upper control arm here has to be the maxi bushing that is pressed into the forged end.Now this thing is actually going to give you all of the performance of a spherical bearing or a rod end joint without the excess of noise vibration or harshness or NVH as it's often called. Another nice thing about these bushings is that they are completely maintenance-free, meaning you're never going to have to grease it throughout its lifespan. Getting the upper installed is a little bit more involved compared to those lowers mainly due to the fact that you have to access a pretty big bolt underneath the rear seat in addition to the work you need to do underneath the car. So of course, make sure you have your jack and jack stands ready and leave yourself a couple of hours from start to finish. As always guys, don't forget to reach out to a Mustang expert anytime if you should have any questions. So if you guys are really looking to lock down that rear axle, eliminate any wheel hop, improve your traction, and have the ability to really adjust that pinion angle, then you want to check out the RTR Tactical Performance Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm here at AmericanMuscle.com.
