What's up guys? I am Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and welcome to my complete breakdown of the RTR Tactical Performance Rear Adjustable Upper Control Arm and Mount fitting your '11 to'14 Mustang.Your rear upper control arm is just one of three links in your S197's rear suspension, the lower control arms being the other two, and as you might expect, is very important when it comes to both your traction and your handling performance, but even more important when it comes to adjusting your instant center and also your pinging angle, especially for those of you out there with lowered Mustangs and one-piece drive shafts.Vaughn and his team at RTR took a tactical approach when it came to designing and developing an adjustable rear upper control arm that will help you and your Mustang no matter what the situation. Whether you're trying to drop the 60-foot times at the drag strip or whether you are trying to put that power down coming out of turns on the back roads or at the race track itself. Now the result is this very easy-to-adjust upper control arm while on the car, it's going to eliminate any wheel hop and excess movement of the rear axle itself by eliminating those soft rubber factory bushings that do a great job of soaking up all the road noise and vibration but leave a lot to be desired when it comes to all out performance. But without a doubt the star of the tactical performance adjustable rear upper control arm here has to be the maxi bushing that is pressed into the forged end.Now this thing is actually going to give you all of the performance of a spherical bearing or a rod end joint without the excess of noise vibration or harshness or NVH as it's often called. Another nice thing about these bushings is that they are completely maintenance-free, meaning you're never going to have to grease it throughout its lifespan. Getting the upper installed is a little bit more involved compared to those lowers mainly due to the fact that you have to access a pretty big bolt underneath the rear seat in addition to the work you need to do underneath the car. So of course, make sure you have your jack and jack stands ready and leave yourself a couple of hours from start to finish. As always guys, don't forget to reach out to a Mustang expert anytime if you should have any questions. So if you guys are really looking to lock down that rear axle, eliminate any wheel hop, improve your traction, and have the ability to really adjust that pinion angle, then you want to check out the RTR Tactical Performance Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Dual Mounting Points. RTR engineered their 2011-2014 Mustang Rear Upper Control Arm Mount with two mounting positions, which offers instant center adjustment for better bite during acceleration and less wheel hop.

Quality Construction. Constructed from 1/4" CNC laser cut steel plate for superior strength, this RTR Rear Upper Control Arm Mounting Bracket is completed in a durable silver powder coated finish for good looks and long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Bolt-on Upgrade. The RTR Rear Upper Control Arm Mounting Bracket is designed to be an easy bolt-on upgrade using the existing factory hardware. There's no welding or drilling required for installation, but it can be welded into place if desired for additional strength.

Application. This RTR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount is designed to be a direct bolt-on upgrade for all 2011 to 2014 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, BOSS and Shelby GT500 models.

            Traction Improved!

This bracket is made so much better than the others I looked at. It is completely welded all along the edges where others are only welded in about 1" increments. This coupled with their adjustable control arm allowed me to nose the pinion down a bit more and greatly increased traction. The tires now scream for mercy instead of just spinning.

            Very Nice Thick Mount.

Although the GT500 Factory arm is very strong this one is well paired with the RTR upper CA. Not sure why one would need to use the upper most hole as I chose the lower location that matched the stock Mount removed.

            Exactly like it should be.

Installed this with the rtr adjustable upper control arm. Slightly less of a PITA than to mess with the stock one. Make sure to have plenty of extensions when reaching the bolts to this guy. Have a helping hand when breaking the old hardware loose from the stock bracket. Impacts help a ton.

            The best way !

Quite short installation with big difference, before and after. On fast corners or small drifting Mustang is going more precisely. The mount looks great, is strong, beefy, well painted. RTR rear upper control arm mount is very good choice.

            Looks nice, doesn't fit

Looks nice and sturdy but I couldn't use it. The two mounting holes (accessed underneath the vehicle) were off by almost a 1/4 inch so it could not be bolted up.

It's amazing how inadequate the stock part looks like compared to the RTR UCA bracket.

            Heavy duty

RTR products are heavy duty and quality parts. I upgraded my entire suspension with RTR products. Compared to stock, they are night and day. Compared to other aftermarket, RTR still stands alone. The upper control arm bracket accompanied with the RTR adjustable upper are a great upgrade. A friend opted to go with the stock upper mount while he used an aftermarket controll arm. It made constant popping noises. If you want to upgrade your handling, do it right. Get one of these.

            Instant response

I had the RTR rear upper control arm mount and control arm installed. I felt the difference as soon as I drove my car. I went for a canyon drive and when i spin the tires a bit there is very little car wiggle and the car hooks back up really fast. The throttle even feels a little more responsive.

            I got the Hook-up!

This is an amazing part from RTR, especially when pared with the RTR adjustable upper control arm. I can't say that this part alone is why my car hooks up like a dream as I also installed lower control arm relocation brackets, lower control arms, panhard brace and adjustable panhard bar. All these parts working together made a night and day difference. I used to spin tires on take off all the way up through third and have an insane amount of wheel hop. Now the car throws me back in my seat like it should. I haven't even lowered the car yet and I don't get any wheel hop at all. The RTR parts are heavy duty, with excellent welds and topnotch quality. I will definitely be buying more parts from them in the future. Another great item from AM!

            Good quality

Construction is solid in this product. Everything was the perfect size and fit up perfectly with my adjustable BMR UCA mount. All holes lined up perfect with the body and there has been no clunking. I got this on sale for a good deal. Worried it wouldnt mate up with my BMR stuff but it works great! Get yourself an impact wrench for breaking these bolts loose. I broke mine loose with liquid wrench and 230 ft lbs of torque.

            Works Great

This item is a must if you are going to upgrade your suspension. Do not keep the stock mount it is very thin and will not work well with any after market upper control arm. The install is a pain because for the 2013's you have to remove the seats to get to the screws to mount it. Other then that its a great product.

Got this with a new uca and new lca's was very easy install just jack up the back and bolt on the new parts! Love the feel when you launch feels way more solid than before and the instant center adjustment is a cool thing to have if you're lowered helps a whole lot for coming out of turns or a straight launch!
