Review & Install Video
Hey everybody, Alex with American Muscle, bringing you my quick review of MethodWorks sideless seat covers with head rest, featuring the Ford oval logo, fitting the 1979 through current Mustang. So the MethodWorks sideless seat cover is gonna be a great option for any Mustang owner no matter the year that's looking for a very budget-friendly premium OEM style looking and feel option that's not gonna look like a terrycloth towel or a wetsuit, and for something that's going to install in minutes. And while we're at it, I will say that this is gonna warrant a very easy one outta three wrenches and merely about three to five minutes to get these wrapped in your car. Now additionally for some of the older Mustangs out there that are already beginning to show or already have extensive seat wear, this is gonna be another very viable option for you in comparison, from doing a full interior swap or just pulling a seat here and there, which I can tell you is definitely gonna be on the costly side. Now aside from some of the obvious of covering up wear and tear and war wounds from over the years, I honestly think that these should appeal to some S550 owners out there that are looking to protect their investment, and you know what, if you honestly don't believe me that somebody with a brand new Mustang would put these into their car, make sure to click the link below in the description, check out some of the customer submitted images, there are brand new Mustang owners out there putting these into their car to protect their interior from some of the elements. Now aside from the added protection or what these are going to give your brand new or your older Mustang, I'll be the first to admit here that whenever I hear the term "seat covers", I kinda cringe a little bit, that's gonna be because what I'm used to when I got my license which feels like almost 20 years ago, some of those older seat covers were simply just a terrycloth towel or some of the ones that resemble a wetsuit and just has that really weird feel to it. I'll be the first to tell you right now that with this material it honestly has an OEM Ford style leather feel, and once they're installed, I gotta tell you it really doesn't look that far outta place. Now those looks and the protective purposes are gonna be due to the use of a vinyl construction, I'll stop you right there just like I said previously, when you touch this it honestly does have a leather or a leatherette style feel to it. It feels that much better than an older seat covers. And above all, you're gonna have that Ford love right here with that prominent blue oval logo. But in terms of the pricing here, guys, you should expect to be spending 30 bucks per side here, which in my opinion is incredibly affordable as opposed to swapping out your interior as well as protecting your investment. Again, for the money here, this is gonna be that much more affordable than some of the CalTrend covers out there which can easily top upwards of about 200 bucks, and again, it's just gonna feel that much better than what you might find with some of the other styles of covers out there, which again might feel like an older wetsuit, have that synthetic fake feeling, or just like the terrycloth towel ones where you just kinda set it and forget it. But switching gears to the installation or lack thereof here, guys, there's really not anything much that's going on here, like I said earlier, a very easy one outta three wrenches in the difficulty meter and a matter of minutes here. You're honestly not looking at anything at all aside from stretching these out, wrapping them around your seats, anchoring them down, throwing your head rests on, and then you're good to go. Wrapping things up here, some final thoughts. If you are the Mustang owner that I just talked about no matter the age, you're looking to cover up some war wounds, or for the brand new owners out there, you're looking to protect your investment and you're not too keen on the idea of getting into something that's just gonna feel like a towel or just have a little bit of a fake synthetic feeling, I would definitely suggest checking these out for your car. I'm Alex and that's my quick view of MethodWorks sideless seat covers with head rest, featuring the four blue oval logo, fitting on 1979 through current Mustangs which can be found right here at americanmuscle.com.
