Description
Solid Construction. The Spec P-Trim Super Twin Clutch - 8 Bolt is ideal for those looking to use their Mustang in a variety of different applications. The super twin series is manufactured from quality aircraft-grade aluminum and high carbon billet steel that is milled to an industry-leading 0.001 inch. The result is a perfect balance and the best actuation possible for such unit. Friction is provided by the dampened, full-faced carbon graphite discs for optimal performance benefits.
Pure Performance. With its all-billet construction, the Spec P-Trim clutch kit features a smooth and quiet operation. This kit has a torque capacity of 1395 lb-ft and is made specifically for cars with extreme horsepower and torque. It offers near-stock drivability with a high longevity and a virtually maintenance-free operation. The units are also completely rebuildable by Spec or the buyer, as replacement components are always available.
Usability. This version of Spec's super twin disc kit is best suited for drag racing, drifting, street driving, time attack and rally racing. It should be used solely on Mustang Cobra and Mach 1 models with an 8-bolt crank.
Advanced Installation. It is strongly recommended that you have this clutch kit installed by a professional, especially since dropping the transmission is usually necessary in order to perform such install. Once the stock setup is removed from your Mustang,the new kit will go right on using the provided alignment tool. Total installation time is estimated to take about 4 hours.
