Justin: If you're looking for the most affordable way to slap a set of quarter window louvers on your 2010 through 2014 coupe at home, well, then look no further than the SpeedForm quarter window louver option shown here today in the sleek gloss black finish. Now, materials will consist of that vacuum-formed ABS plastic along with the included 3M automotive tape needed for the install all for right around that $50 to $60 price point for the pair. So quarter window louvers, I would say, are one of those love-it-or-hate-it modifications that most owners tackle because they just really dig the retro styling that it tends to bring to the table. Now, you can certainly find them in a few different flavors here at AM as far as your design is concerned, but I would say these options are gonna adhere more to that classic or old school design but with just a little bit more flash, thanks to that glossy black finish. Now, if you did wanna go maybe a little bit more subtle or maybe a little bit more old school, you could always consider a matte black option instead. Now, then there is the price, right? Which again for right around 50 bucks here, even if you're on the fence about running a quarter window louver like this and end up not really digging the look, well, you're not gonna be out a ton of money at the end of the day. But let's touch on materials here, guys. And again, vacuum-formed ABS plastic is what you're looking at for the most part, very lightweight, very durable overall. Now, at this point, the louvers are finished off in, again, that gloss black finish here, which will really pop on the quarter window of your S197. Now, one thing the site always recommends with something like this, and I almost feel obligated to talk about it, is grabbing a set of quarter window blackout decals to hide the unsightly backside of these louvers from the inside of the car looking out. Now, I know it doesn't look terrible now, but once you got tape all over the back of this thing, it's not the most attractive thing to look out. Now, it's not, again, necessary by any means, but if you're looking to keep things a little bit cleaner from the interior, I think it's never a bad idea. And ultimately, at the end of the day, most of your visibility is gonna be blocked out of these windows anyway with the louvers in place. There's no real way to get around that. But what do you say we move into the installation, guys? And again, peel and stick job for the most part, so I figure a soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, maybe 30 minutes or so to complete from start to finish. Now, the most important part of this job as always is your prep work. So just make sure you take your time, clean the surface thoroughly first before getting the work installing your 3M tape. But now to give you a better idea of just how things will go down at home, here's an AM customer to walk you through it.Man: Today we'll be installing the SpeedForm quarter window louvers for the 2010 to 2014 Mustang. What you will need for this installation is the directions provided by SpeedForm, the double-sided tape also provided by SpeedForm, a lint-free cloth, a spray bottle consisting of water and soap, and the quarter window louvers. Our first step in the installation process is to clean the windows using our soap and water and our lint-free cloth. You have to spray down the entire window and wipe it, thoroughly cleaning the window. Once the window is clean, let it sit and dry.Our next step in the process is applying the double-sided tape to the louver. In this step, you will apply the red side facing up to the inside of the louver. Following the flat edge, you will work your way around the louver, making sure the tape sticks as you go.Make sure on the corners, you're getting as much surface contact as possible. Once the tape is laid down, make sure to cut the tape and remove the red backing. Now, once again, go around the louver firmly pressing on the tape to ensure it sticks. Any excess, you can overlap on top.The last step of the installation process is to fit the louver to the quarter window. In doing this, make sure to test-fit before, know exactly where you'd like to place the louver. Once fitted, press down firmly following the edge to ensure the louver sticks. And with that, you have successfully installed your quarter window louver for the 2010 to 2014 Mustang.Justin: So wrapping this one up, guys, if you are looking to add a little bit more of that retro flair to your S197 for not a lot of money, well, then you'll wanna consider the SpeedForm quarter window options here in gloss black right here at americanmuscle.com.
