Description
Precision Suspension Upgrade. The SPL Parts Front Tension Rods provide critical front caster and anti-dive adjustment for enhanced handling performance. By replacing the stock rubber bushings with low-friction, hardened spherical bearings, these tension rods eliminate deflection and bind, offering sharper steering response and more direct braking feel. Designed for customizable tuning, they allow symmetrical caster angle adjustment to optimize vehicle dynamics.
Construction and Appearance. These rods are crafted from billet 2024-T351 aluminum, featuring hollow, black anodized arms for lightweight durability. Coupled with 4340 chromoly steel studs, titanium socket head cap screws, and 304 stainless steel spacers, the build ensures corrosion resistance and strength. The key component is the FK JMX PTFE-lined hardened spherical bearing that provides low friction and self-cleaning performance, all secured by a 6061-T6 aluminum 360° clamp system for precision adjustments.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling required, utilizing the factory mounting points with included hardware. The 360° clamp design allows quick adjustment on the vehicle by loosening the titanium screws, eliminating the need to hold and tighten jam nuts simultaneously.
Application. Specifically engineered for the 2015 to 2023 Mustang, these tension rods fit all models except the Shelby GT350 and GT500 variants due to knuckle taper differences, ensuring dedicated compatibility for standard Mustang platforms including GT, EcoBoost, and V6 models.
