How to Install Stainless Works True Dual Turbo Chambered Cat-Back Exhaust (96-04 GT) on your Ford Mustang

1. Remove stock exhaust, you will either have to cut tailpipes with a sawzall or unbolt lower shock mounts and upper trailing arms to get rear axle down far enough to set tail pipes out.

2. Put one clamp and 1 converter on each header.

3. Loosely assemble left cat to x-pipe, Right cat to x-pipe and x-pipe on bench put 1 clamp on each side and slide up onto cats.  Prop up in transmission tunnel using a jack stand or equivalent.

4. Assemble left and right side x-pipe to muffler pipes on bench and with a clamp on each side slide them onto x-pipe.

5. Install mufflers also with 1 clamp on each side.  Slide stainless rods into factory rubber hangers.

6. Install left and right hangers into factory rubber hangers and then put on our axle pipes.

7. At this point you can push both over axle pipes over so that they touch the upper control arms and align and tighten everything you have installed up to this point.  When you let the car down later the control arms will move away from the over axle pipes and there will be no clearance issues during suspension movement.

8. Put 1 clamp on each side of the over axle pipes and slide on the tail pipes.

9. Take the other tow clamps with hangers welded on and slide them into the rubber hangers on the underside of the bumper with the bolts on the clamps facing inward.

10. Slide tips into clamps align and tighten all 4 clamps making sure you have adequate clearance around all pipes.  Install O2 sensors.

11. If you have any clearance issues on the complete exhaust system loosen clamps and realign pipes as necessary retighten and road test.
