Improve Horsepower. Untap the hidden horsepower and torque Ford left on the table in your 2011-2014 Mustang GT. Gain horsepower and torque with a free-flowing Steeda Cold Air Intake kit. This cold air intake has been dyno-proven by Steeda, ensuring your Mustang will also get significant gains with the benefits of this impressive system and a custom tune.

Innovative Design. A result of Steeda's unique partnership with Ford, this intake keeps the factory cold air feed ducting from the front bumper and uses a black powdercoated heat shield to prevent hot air from entering your engine bay. Combined with their "ProFlow" intake tube, your Mustang will keep its factory noise tube and PCV tubes for less mess in your engine bay, less noise, and less heat.

101mm MAF Housing. This Steeda cold air intake kit now features a larger 101mm MAF housing (MAF not included). Please note that orders shipped before 7/23/2012 will contain the smaller 95mm mass air housing.

Easy Installation. Installing the Steeda Intake for your 2011-2014 GT takes about an hour, and requires only basic tools.

Required Upgrade. Installation of this Cold Air Intake will require the use of a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for operation.

Application. This Steeda Cold Air Intake is designed for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT 5.0 with the automatic transmission only, requires a new computer tune. We also carry the Steeda Cold Air Intake for the 2011-2014 GT with the 6-speed manual transmission.

Will this fit the Boss 302 Manifold? I have a 2012 5.0 automatic with a Boss 302 manifold installed. Like the question stated above, will this CAI fit it?

    Lance654

    • Yes it will fit the Boss 302 Manifold with some manipulation. Does not require any cutting to the intake.

I notice that this now has an upgraded 101mm MAF housing, do I need a new MAF for a 2013 GT, or will the stock MAF work? Also, would there be any performance gains to swapping the stock MAF when I install this intake?

    FishBones

    • I would not suggest using your stock MAF as this is designed to work with the MAF housing it comes with.

Will I get the 44 rwhp from this CAI using the preloaded tune for steeda CAI on the sct x4?

    Fiif50

    • With a custom tune you can see up to 44 Hp/52 lb-ft Torque. You will most likely not see these kind of results with a pre-loaded, you will want to have a custom tune made for your car like the tunes that Bama Performance offers. The amount of horsepower you gain will also depend on weather conditions, temperature, supporting modifications, what kind of dyno you are using, etc.

Can this be tune by Lund racing?

    Eric

    • I can't speak for another company, I would recommend a BAMA Tune! I run this intake on my personal 2013 Mustang with my BAMA tune and the car runs flawlessly I could not be happier. I recommend the Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner with Free BAMA Tunes for life! Item #101200G11 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-custom-tuner-2011gt.html) or if you already have a handheld device you can simply purchase the BAMA Free Tunes for life Item #38050 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-custom-tune.html)

      Great Intake

I've had this intake for awhile, I am very happy with the intake does require a tune to get the most out of it. I also love the sound of the air being sucked in as u step of the pedal. This is a must have upgrade that does not disappoint. Also don't take but maybe 1 1/2 time to install very easy installation.

      BIG AIR

Don't know about HP but you can feel the torque . and hear the sound . working with Bama tune was great it took a little work ( had to run 3 data logs for them ) but it right on the mark now . you have to retune for this cai but when you take it out of the box you can see why ! its big 101 mm big . it moves alot of air and you can feel it . I do recommend this product but you have to retune . so to some it up a Steeda Cold Air Intake with a Bama tune and you butt is moving . note about Bama tune I was working with Ryan McDonald this knows mustangs 5.0 . as alway AM shipping is fast . thanks

      Once again...Steeda products impress!

This intake is a breeze to install, probably 1.5 hours from start to finish...and that includes loading the tune. Steeda products always fit and the quality is superb. Don't waste time/money on the other cold air intakes, if you have to have one, get the Steeda!

      awesome look and sound

took longer to put together than install, very pleased with my purchase, also got the tuner with it....don't really know power gains because its kinda pointless to pay for a dyno with only a cai and exhaust,am was very easy to deal with and bama's customer service is excellent as well....looks good under the hood and sounds good too...overall would recommend this upgrade to anyone who's got the upgrade bug

Steeda CAI, Yes. Bama Tune, NO.

The Steeda cold air intake has worked very well on my 2014 automatic GT. However, I couldn't tell with the Bama tune I got with it through AM. After SEVERAL issues followed by datalogs and revisions from Bama, along with reading poor reviews of Bama tunes, I went with the Steeda tune and it has been FANTASTIC! Both for daily driving and at the strip.

      Steeda Cold Air Intake

You can definitely feel the difference after installing this. It's pretty simple to install, just follow the directions. I love how can you here the intake sucking in air as you press down on the throttle. This is one of the more expensive intakes but well worth it in my opinion!

Okay Product but tune makes the difference

This is a good product overall. It's hard to see if the gains are from the intake or the tune. But the tune definitely makes a huge improvement over stock. The build of this product is good, but the instructions supplied could be more clear and also colour instructions would be better to make out what they are trying to show.

      Other CAI's don't even compare!!

I upgraded to this Steeda CAI from an Airaid CAI, what a HUGE difference between the two. This Steeda CAI is the real deal. Looks good under the hood, easy to instal, great power gains, and you can actually hear the air being sucked into the CAI. The Airaid doesn't even compare. Buy the best, buy this Steeda, you won't be disappointed.

Steeda CAI for my 2011 mustang gt automatic

At first I was curious about any improvements I was going to notice with a cai. I did the research and decided to go with a steeda cai. Let me say I was amazed at what a difference a steeda cai with a Bama tune makes. Installation was easy and it came with every step instructions that helped me a lot. Over all it really makes ur engine look nice as well. Overall satisfied with this product n highly recommend, it won't disappoint.

      Great Sound and Response

This intake made a noticeable difference. I was running with a tune before and adding this to the mix increased the overall response for the car. Install was simple but the Metal finish wasn't as good as I expected. It still looks great just could be a bit better. Would definitely buy again.

      High quality parts, good fit.

The most time consuming part of this install was assembling the kit. I had to go to the local auto parts store because one of the 5/8" hoses was way too short, other than that all fit well. With the BAMA tune, this really woke the car up. My last car was a supercharged 2005 with a Whipple. This combination comes close to my old setup. With the planned upgrade to 3.73 gears, I expect mid 12's. Can't wait to try it out at the strip next spring. Hope I don't get the dreaded #8 cylinder flag though!

      Excellent CAI

I've had the Steeda ProFlow Cold Air Intake on my 2011 Mustang GT for a couple of months now. This product combined with an SCT tuner should be the first performance upgrade to any 2011 Mustang GT 5.0. Off the showroom floor, these cars are awesome, but the additional horsepower, increased throttle response, and old-school muscle car sound make this upgrade well worth the money. Installation was fairly straightforward and simple. Even if you're not a mechanic by trade, if you can follow instructions you can install this yourself. It takes about 10 minutes to get the old intake off your car. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble the new intake right out of the box. It took about 10 minutes to put the new intake back on the car. From start to finish, I was done with the installation in about an hour. (Note: If your 2011 GT has a strut tower brace, you will have to remove that to get the engine cover off. It is not hard to do, but it does take a couple of extra minutes.)
