      Description

      Chassis Reinforcement Solution. The Stifflers Chassis Stiffening Rail is designed to enhance the structural integrity of Mustang chassis by reinforcing the rocker panel area. This rail serves a dual purpose by creating a sturdy and secure jack point, essential for safe vehicle lifting. It is particularly important for track and lowered Mustangs where added chassis stiffness improves handling performance.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable 1 x 1.5 x .083 rectangular tubing, the rail offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It features a professional industrial-grade powder coat finish that ensures long-lasting protection and a clean appearance. Plastic end plugs are installed to prevent moisture intrusion, preserving the rail’s integrity over time.

      Installation. Installation requires welding, but pre-masked areas on the rail allow for welding without the need to grind away powder coat, simplifying the process. It is a moderately complex installation best suited for users with welding capabilities or access to a qualified technician.

      Application. Designed specifically for 79-93 Mustangs, this rail is not necessary for 87-93 convertibles due to their factory-installed stiffening "Z" rails that provide similar reinforcement and jack support functionality.
