Description
Transmission Support Upgrade. The Stifflers Transmission Crossmember Kit enhances stability and strength for various transmissions by replacing weaker OEM crossmembers. It is designed to reduce driveline vibrations and improve shifting precision, critical for maintaining proper driveline angles and reliable performance under load.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from a single tube for superior stiffness, the crossmember features adjustable mounting sleeves and spacers to accommodate both automatic and manual transmissions. It includes low deflection polyurethane bushings that help reduce noise and vibration. The crossmember is finished with a durable protective coating to resist wear and corrosion.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling required thanks to the adjustable design, making it compatible with existing mounts. Specific fitment considerations, such as additional spacing for TKO and TKX transmissions, ensure proper driveline alignment.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 82-93 Mustangs, this transmission crossmember excludes use with BBK long tube headers due to clearance limitations. It supports a wide range of transmissions commonly installed in this vehicle platform.
