StopTech's cross-drilled and slotted design helps prevent glazing and also helps to wipe away debris that forms between the pad and the disc, improving the initial bite of the brake pads.

    Cooling Vane Design. StopTech Rotors feature a vented vane design that helps expel gasses and brake dust more quickly, as well as improve heat dissipation, all in order to increase the braking performance of your vehicle.

Made from Power Alloy Metallurgy, these StopTech Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors have a high carbon content to resist cracking under the extreme heat and stress of high friction braking, as well as to reduce pad noise and vibration.         What is the Spindle Nut Torque Spec for my 1988 mustang gt .

        • The Spindle nut is torqued to 17-25Lb-Ft. Final torque will depend on how tight is required to properly adjust the bearing.

        will this product fit a stock rim on a 1985 mustang gt. if not why?

        • The StopTech Sport Cross-Drilled & Slotted Rotors - Front Pair (87-93 5.0L) should be compatible with the stock wheels, though I would use discretion considering the advertised compatible year range of the rotor.

            Cross drilled caused failure.

            Bought and installed new Hawk pads, rebuilt calipers, and rotors simultaneously. Followed Hawks break in procedure included with the pads. I terminated the break in because part way through the procedure the brakes were smoking and smelling. About 7K miles later the pads are doing fine, but the rotors have failed with spider cracks coming from some of the cross drilled holes. EBC's brake in procedure is quite different. You don't even break in the pads until you've driven the brakes at least 200 miles. EBC has a painted rotor, and the pads have a break in coating. Check out EBC's rotors and pads, and stay away from cross-drilled rotors.

            Great product

            Swapped my original brakes with these and now the car stops on a dime. Plus they look good with the black calipers. Good bang for buck.

            Best Rotor Upgrade

            Best brake rotors avaliable for 4 lug cars, increased my stopping power. Car will stop on a dime, must install upgrade for fox mustangs.
