i have stock control arms, will this still fit?

What hardware do I need to purchase exactly for an 01 V6 Mustang? I mean bolt grade, size, clips, etc. Also, what torque should I tighten the bolts to?

        • The rear sway bar torque spec is 33 Ft-Lbs. I would recommend replacing the hardware with brand new OEM hardware from the dealership.

I have the AM staggered wheel and tire set up. I imagine this exacerbates the under steer the car has stock. Any idea if this bar is stiff enough to get a slight over steer or produce neutral handling if I keep the stock bar on the front?

        • The ST Suspension Rear Anti-Sway Bar will help to reduce under steer, but will not produce over steer. We recommend using a matching front sway bar to achieve the most neutral handling possible.

            Hits every speed bump

Put this on my car did handle much better but couldn't drive up my driveway and hit every speed bump almost got stuck in a parking lot car has 315/35/17 in rear would probably be ok with a taller wheel and tire package...but for me only on car a few days... would return it but speed bump damaged it ordered Eibach unit much happier with it

            okish product

Slight improvement over factory handling. Good build quality. Fitment on the car is horrible. The square brackets make the swaybar hang around 2.5" above the ground. It drags on everything including going in and out of most driveways.

            Had my doubts

My old ones broke and were worried it would break due to the brand. My old ones were Eibach and lasted until I messed up. Well these ST are still hanging in there and handles pretty good. Best bang for your buck!

            good stuff

didnt really need to change my rear sway bar but got his just for the fun of it :) and im loving it... I already have steeda srpings, a panhard bar, new control arms and a few other handling mods, something ive been upgrading little by little in the last 3 years. This sway bar is the icing on the cake, my Mustang's rear was stiff and now is even STIFFER :)

            '95 GT ST anti-roll install

I've never had a bar on the back, but when I pulled the quad shocks off to make room for the 315-35-17 (10.5 10th. Ann. Cobra wheels) the body had some serious roll issues... Luckily, I had already ordered the ST anti-roll bar. I put the back of the car on the ramps and slapped 'er on in about 15 minutes. The difference it made was like day and night. The car feels solid and the roll is gone! It's a good product and I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice to have on a v6

V6's didn't have one from factory. Stiffens up the rear a good amount. Doesn't come with hardware for us "sixers" so you'll have to go out and purchase your own. Make sure to use grade 8 bolts.

            Noticeable difference

I have a 04 GT and just bought an 02 V6. The guy i bought the v6 from ordered this bar and i got it along with the car (among other parts). Super simple install and much much thicker in diameter compared to the stock bar!! Well worth the money, im buying this bar for my GT and i have absolutely no worries on the quality.

            Great replacement

My stock sway bar cracked a while back and couldn't find just the rear. This thing made the rear tighter then stock. Great buy!
