• We do not happen to sell the convertible version of this upholstery at the moment, we only have the coupe upholstery available in this style.

My Mustang convertible seems to have the narrower design of headrest, and does not seem to be adjustable for angle, as the installation guide would appear to suggest. Without this adjustment, will the high back upholstery kit fit my car? Also do American muscle sell a hog ring pliers and hog rings? I've tried searching but have come up blank. Many thanks. • Hi, The instructions that we have listed on the item page for this TMI Premium Sport R500 Upholstery & Foam Kit - Black Vinyl & Red Stripe/Stitch are not convertible specific the standard head rest in 99-04 mustang convertible are not tiltable. The Upholstery designated for the convertible will fit your seats. We do not carry hog ring or hog ring pliers.

Does this kit include foam for the rear seat or do I use the pre-existing foam from the OEM seats? 1 answer

• The TMI Premium Sport R500 Upholstery & Foam Kit - Black Vinyl & Black Stripe/Stitch (99-04 All) will not come with the foam for the rear seats. You will want to use the factory foam for the rear seats.

Can we use the exiting seat belts or do we have to get new ones. My seat belt goes through a plastic loup attached to the seat. It doesn't show how my seat belts will fit with this kit 1 answer

• You will be able to re use the factory seat belts with the TMI Premium Sport R500 Upholstery & Foam Kit without having to alter them in anyway.

Can anyone simply install this or do you need knowledge and have a upholstery place install it? 1 answer

• Check out some of the reviews of the new model R500's and you'll note they are all from first time installers. We took great effort into making this our easy upholstery to install and CJ's actually has a great 'how to' video on installation of one of the R500 Highbacks. A helpful tip is to make sure the new upholstery is warmed up, either by leaving it out in the sun if possible, or by setting it near a heater, you can also use a fabric steamer as you install each section. Once the vinyl is warmed up it is MUCH more pliable and easier to install!

Assembly How difficult is the assembly, and disassembly of my stock seats to put these on? Do they come with instructions or am I limited to what's on here? Also does the foam come already inside the leather or do I have it insert it myself? Sorry for the overload of questions, I'm looking to re-do my interior this winter on my 04 V6 and this kit stood out to me! 1 answer

• Hello - installation is tedious but can be tackled by a non-installer who has good technical know how - it will require patience, and strong hands :) There are several videos available showing step by step installation and the product will also come with instructions. Foams are a separate item and will be installed first , then the upholstery over the foams.

How hard is it to relace the upholstery and foam? Since I do not see any installation instructions I am wondering from someone that has installed this just how difficult this is. Also are there any special tools needed? 1 answer

• Although I have never purchased, nor installed this kit, I would think it is not to difficult. To do so remove the entire assembly from your car so access is not difficult. Remove the old Upholstery carefully so you understand how it fits. Warning: If your Mustang Seats have Emergency Airbags these will NOT work.

Headrest? Nice upholstery kit but does this include headrests too or do you reuse your current headrests? 1 answer

• The headrest is actually within the upholstery kit. These seats feature a taller upper section than your standard seat, giving a cleaner look and more comfortable feel. There is a corresponding diagram in our product photos that shows exactly what I mean as well. Hope this helps!

Electric seat motor What about the Electric Seat Motor will that option be deleted with the installation of the upholstery kit? 1 answer

• This kit uses all the stock pieces of the seat and just replaces the foam and the upholstery, these aren't new seats just something to freshen up your current ones
