Performance Handling. Installing a set of Vogtland Progressive Rate Springs will lower your New Edge Cobra Mustang's center of gravity, which will reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Vogtland Sport Springs are ideal for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.

Lowered Muscle Car Stance. Not only does a set of Vogtland Sport Springs improve the handling performance of your Mustang, but they also improve its overall appearance. By lowering the ride height approximately 1.6" in the front and rear, that huge tire to fender gap is eliminated, providing your Mustang with a classic muscular stance.

Superior Construction. Vogtland Lower Springs are made to strict standards in Germany. Using a cold coiling process these Springs are manufactured from special oil tempered, high tensile strength spring steels, including chromesilicon (CrSi) and chrome-silicon-vanadium (CrSiV) alloys. After being coiled, all springs are tempered, shot peened and preset to ensure consistent ride height and quality. In the last step of the manufacturing process the springs are phosphate and powder coated for superior long lasting corrosion resistance.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your factory size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle's pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This set of four Vogtland Sport Lowering Springs are specifically designed for use on 1999 to 2001 coupe and convertible SVT Cobra models equipped with independent rear suspension (IRS).

What is the spring rates for these springs?

    • At this time, the manufacturer is not publishing the spring rate of the Vogtland Sport Spring Kit, however these do use a compound spring rate, where the initial spring rate is much softer, but as the spring compresses, you will hit tighter coils with a higher spring rate.

      Lowering spring

Was tired of the 4x4 stance and looked at what gave the most drop from springs and these were the most that I found. It did lower it in the back but the front is still too high

      Improved ride and look

I finally got my springs in. These springs improved the look and ride. Car handles great. I also did not have isolators on. The old springs that was in my car had it to low and road rough.I stopped by old owner and he love the look also. Will load pics soon.

      1999 cobra springs

Great spring. Do not need compressors but you will need to lower the exhaust and the control arms at the same time for the rears. Would definately help if you have an impact and 2 jacks. Paired great with bilstein shocks and struts. Rides stiffer and grips corners way better. Didnt use isolators so i have a 2in drop.

Would prefer a little more drop

I give these springs 5 stars for the ride and 3 stars for the drop, averaged out to 4 stars. The ride is confidence inspiring with minimal to no added harshness. The drop however is underwhelming. These were installed on an 01 Cobra and it still needs to come down another 3/4". I'm considering removing the isolators. All in all, still better than stock in looks and handling.

      Lowering springs.

Great product. Lowers the car more than it's says it does so I was happy. Gives it a great stance. Would buy again.

      very nice

had them installed by MRT, along with new rear bushings and sway bars, original had a broken end link that caused it to grind against the half shaft. totally changed the car. great ride and grip in the turns. expected a bit more drop, but happy still very pleased.

As Good As You'll Get For The Price

Grab some brews and slap these suckers in there for an improved look and ride. These springs are pretty much everything they claim to be. In order to get the full 1.6" drop you'll have to ditch the isolators. I opted to keep mine and got about 1.4" to 1.5". Major improvement from the stock look. Makes it look like it should have from the factory. The install can take about 5 hours with two people and you WILL want help from a buddy. The improvement in handling is there, but it isn't night and day.

      Great ride

Easy install and rides like stock. A little firmer in the corners now and slightly tighter handling. Definitely not 1.6 inch drop though. On a 2001 cobra vert it was about a .75 inch drop after install and down to a shade over an inch after 2 weeks with stock rubber rear iso's and removed fronts. All in all good purchase.
