      Description

      Grizzly Locker Rear Differential. Yukon Gear's Grizzly Locker is the perfect choice for drivers looking to get the absolute most out of their Mustangs. Increasing performance across the board and setting the stage for perfect performance on the street, off-road, and on the track, this rear differential provides 100% power to both tires, and helps to disengage acceleration during cornering.

      Improved Performance. The patented internal design of this upgrade utilizes 8620 construction and eliminates common locker failures. Without making your Mustang too aggressive, this US-made rear differential from Yukon Gear will help get the power down – all the power, whereas the factory unit lost something in translation between the engine and the road.

      Adds Strength. The Locker Rear Differential features 8620 internals for added strength. It has been specially engineered to reduce common locker failures.

      Application. This 8.8" Yukon Gear Grizzly Locker Rear Differential will fit solid axle suspensions equipped V8 Mustangs from 1986 to 2004, including GT, Bullitt, and Mach 1 Models. Requires use of 28 spline axles. (Will not fit 1999-2004 SVT Cobra).

      Technical Note. 1986-2004 V8 Mustangs came factory equipped with 28 spline axles, except for 2003-2004 SVT Cobras which were 31 spline. All 2005 and newer V8 Mustangs come equipped with 31 spline axles. You will need to reuse your factory 8.8" gear set, or upgrade to a set of our 8.8" rear gears required for this Limited Slip Differential. No aftermarket gears are included. For normal driving conditions we recommend you use 75W 90 rear gear oil. This will give you the same oil weight as factory. For colder temps or race use try 75w 140.
