J M Stainless Steel Teflon Brake Hoses - Rear

Build quality is excellent. Overall length matches OEM. BIG concern with the hardware at the ends of the line. Hardware chosen is longer than OEM that leaves less hose to flex. When the car is lifted, it puts a great deal of stress on the hose where it connects at the ends. Workable but if you're doing something like installing springs, you have to remember to unbolt the calipers.

      DIY Big Brake Kit

Since I'm running 18x9.5 concave wheels, I couldn't go with the Brembo brake kit. As a result I went with the Wilwood 6-piston 13" brake kit up front which requires it's own brake hose kit. To address the rear brake hoses I went with this product, which is pretty much as advertised. It does come with a set of copper washers for the banjo bolts.

      Steel braid brake lines

These brake lines are right in line with factory rubber hose. They made them for east install. Nice product and glad that AM had these in stock.

SS Brake Line, Rotor, Pad Replacement

I had a shop install the front Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors on my 2011 Mustang GT along with a set of front and rear JandM Stainless Steel Teflon Brake Lines and Hawk Street Performance Pads. I had an issue with the pad retaining spring separating on the front pads, probably during shipping, and had to return and installed a similar pad. I am sure this was just a fluke. The complete set up improved both the performance and feel of the braking. When firmly applying the brakes, they grabbed hard; a noticeable improvement with a very hard brake feel. The looks of the rotors are great. I’ll probably replace the rear rotors in the near future. I would strongly recommend if you want a noticeable improvement, to replace all three of the original components: rotors, pads, and brake lines.

      Great brake lines

A couple hours to install and bleed the brake system. Simple enough. Perfect fit. Solid improvement over the stock brake hoses/lines. Highly recommend.

      Great Product

The J&M brake lines are must for anyone who uses their S197s brakes at the limits--such as autocross, track days, or even stopping at the end of a drag race. The lines are stainless steel, which expand less than stock rubber lines. Less expansion means more brake pressure is directly transferred to the brake pistons, increasing stopping power and giving a firmer pedal. The lines are coated in Teflon, which prevents the elements from rusting the lines and also helps prevent chafing and rubbing. My only gripe is that the lines take a very small amount of tweaking to get to fit properly.

      perfect!

My first track day I boiled my brake fluid. So I've added these stainless steel brake lines because they won't expand like the stock brake lines. I've also added Hawk Performance Pads and better fluid. Next track day is coming up. I can't wait to see how much better things go. My technician had no trouble installing them. everything needed was in the box.

      Good quality

After making a few adjustments to the supplied brackets I was able to complete the install obtaining a good fit. I would recommend these braided lines to all who want to upgrade.

      Braided Rear Brake Lines

Very easy to install, and gives comfort of mind that the lines won't burst under high temperature and high pressure situations. Have not had a chance to track the car hard since the install of these lines.

      Not complete

This kit should come with banjo bolts and washers or at least advise that they are highly recommended. American Muscle should definitely offer these to purchase. Aside from that the fit and length of the hoses are good.
