I wish I had done this sooner

The car had always had a vibration at higher speeds and only seem to get worse when I put 3.73 gears in it. I swapped out the drive shaft and the vibrations are gone. My only regret is I didn't do this ...

Does the driveshaft come balanced? Is the balance process 1-plane or 2-plane?

I see this says manual on it. I have an automatic but the automatic driveshaft is out of stock and has been for some time (at least every time i check). Is there anyway to make this fit an automatic? What is the actual difference?

  • The manual SR Performance Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft will not fit on an Automatic mustang. It has a different yoke, and overall length.

What speed drafting does this have? I removed my limiter and want something that cam handle the power. I have tires and suspension already

Tyt

  • The SR Performance Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft is rated for 800HP and is more than capable of handling higher speeds, in excess of 160mph.

If I get this driveshaft, would I be able to remove the speed limiter on my v6?

Btrim

  • The driveshaft does not affect the speed limiter. You would have to tune the car in order to get rid of that.

I have a 2010 V6 hopped up with 4.10's @ 100mph the car shakes really bad. My guess is that it is the drive line. is this correct and if so will this drive line take care of that.

10Ponys

  • The driveshafts in the V6 are not balanced to rotate at speeds over 110mph, and typically a slight vibration will begin occurring at around 100mph, do to the balancing being insufficient for the amount of rotations per minute. The Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft will absolutely correct this issue, as long as it is the driveshaft that is causing the shaking.

Im having my car lowered an 1.5 and im thinking about getting this driveshaft. Will this hang much lower than my stock one because I don't want to be smacking it on speed bumps?

Brett615

  • The Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft - Manual (05-10 V6) will not be much bigger in diameter than your factory driveshaft. You will not have to worry about rubbing or scraping with this driveshaft compared to your factory driveshaft.
