I have a 2007 Mustang V6 automatic and I was wondering if this part will fit well. Just to be sure because the info for my model, it says it does fit but it says "w/ Manual Transmission" Help??

        • Unfortunately, this driveshaft will only work on 2005-2010 V6 Mustangs that have a manual transmission and will not work with an automatic transmission.

Besides the weight loss, how exactly will this drive shaft increase acceleration?

        • This driveshaft and other lightweight driveshafts increase acceleration by lowering the vehicles overall weight, and also reducing rotating weight.

Does AM have a driveshaft for a 2007 v6 automatic?

        • We currently do not offer a driveshaft for the automatic V6 models.

Do you intend to offer a model of this driveshaft intended for use in the automatic V6 2005-2009 range?

        • At this time we do not have plans to introduce a model for that setup.

What is the MAX speed these driveshafts can withstand? I have a 2005 V6 with OEM shafts that I'm trying to upgrade and heard that the OEM shaft can only withstand speeds of no more than 120mph. I want to increase that.

        • The SR Performance Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft is rated for 800HP and is more than capable of handling higher speeds, in excess of 160mph.

            easy change over

It was a quick and easy change over. I had to get rear end done at the same time so it was over a month between before and after drives. I would like to say there was a nice performance gain but I do not have anything to quantify that statement. Install was more than an hour but less than 2.

I wish I had done this sooner

The car had always had a vibration at higher speeds and only seem to get worse when I put 3.73 gears in it. I swapped out the drive shaft and the vibrations are gone. My only regret is I didn't do this as my first mod when I got the car.
