Description
Premium Lightweight Upgrade. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Decklid; Dry Carbon Fiber is a direct replacement for the factory rear decklid designed to reduce weight while enhancing vehicle aesthetics. It replaces the original part, providing both performance benefits and visual appeal ideal for high-performance driving and track use.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted using pre-preg 3K 2x2 twill dry carbon fiber cured in an advanced autoclave process, this decklid features a consistent weave pattern and improved resin-to-carbon ratio for enhanced stiffness and durability. It has a matte finish showcasing the authentic carbon fiber texture but requires an additional clear coat with UV inhibitors if left unpainted or unwrapped to protect against UV damage.
Installation. This decklid installs using original equipment hardware, which is not included, and typically requires no drilling. Minor adjustments may be necessary for optimal fitment, and professional installation is recommended to ensure proper alignment and avoid damage.
Application. Designed to fit Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray and Z06 models from 2014 to 2019. It accepts original equipment glass but does not support reinstalling factory gas struts due to the risk of damage from excessive pressure.
