    Can I use stock serpentine belt with bbk under drive pulleys? If not what belt do I get?

    • The BBK underdrive pulleys use the stock serpentine belt. They do suggest using a new one, but maybe it's time for a new one anyway.

    Have y'all heard of any problems with the AC not working or the vehicle overheating?

    • We have not had any issues with the the BBK Underdrive Pulleys in Aluminum having issues with the Ac or over heating.

    What's the outside dimension of the water pump pulley in this kit? I need one about 5.5"

    • As these are designed as a kit, we do not have listings for the size of each pulley in the BBK Underdrive Pulley kit.

    Can I use the smog pump eliminator and the under drive pulley kit together? Wanted to know if both would fit together and work well or would it be better just to eliminate the smog pump altogether and not put on the eliminator pulley. Just get a different belt with no smog pump

    • Yes you can use the smog pump eliminator with the pulley kit. Note: If you cancel the smog pump with out adding the smog pump eliminator, you will have issues with finding the write belt !!!! by that I meen; Binder problem, pulley squeaking ect..... Hope it helps!

      Fit great.

      Ac and smog are bypassed on my ‘95 GT. Had to use an 81.0” belt with these pulleys. So far so good. They really dress up the engine.

      Not comfortable with the side effects...

      The pulleys were made well, and installed easily. I did notice a bit of freer revving to the engine with them on, but also noticed that the draw to my electrical system was way too much! My headlights dimmed and the car wouldn't charge any time the rpms dropped below 1000 - stop lights, putting the car in park, etc. this car is a daily driver, and that made the compromise unacceptable to me, especially since American Muscle and BBK's info stated that this wouldn't happen. I guess I'll have to find another way to find horsepower without losing day to day usability. These pulleys would be great on a weekend car, or a racer, and they are made well, but they just don't meet my needs.

      Skittle xtra pep n looks awesome

      These aluminum light weight pulleys r Boss. Fits perfect with no surprises n gains a little xtra pep in horse power. Can't wait to replace other pulleys as well. Installation time approx 1/2 hour to 45 minutes n looks great.

      Good looks and good performance.

      These pulleys are well manufactured and the instructions were easy. I did have to buy an impact wrench for the alternator pulley, but at least now I have one! I recently changed my rear end from 3.27 to 3.73, so I figured the accessories would appreciate a ratio change. Now the engine is quieter at idle, a nice surprise, the engine looks better, and it accelerates even quicker than before. Definitely a win-win situation.

      Alternator pulley My mechanic didn't install, and even so way better response with torque and horsepower.

      It's ok

      They look cool. I didn't really notice a difference in power. But I also have a lot more stuff on my car. I didn't notice I lost a little battery power which is not good. If you want some extra shine under hood I'd reccomend.

      This product really reduces drag on my serpentine belt and is lightweight.

      I installed this kit in about an hour and it was a pretty basic install. I would recomend this product to anyone wanting to lessen the drag on their serpentine belts, add a bit more horsepower to their engine, and to add some shine under the hood. My only complaint about this product is that I wish they added a billited harmonic balancer to this kit. I really like these lightweight pulleys and give them a 5 star rating.

      Easy install

      Really easy install. Old pulleys need a couple of taps then they fall right off. Best thing was no need to buy a new belt.

      Good Stuff

      I just put the pulleys on! and Man they look NICE! They fit right on too, and you can feel a bit of difference in pick up. Great Product! AM is still my favorite place!

      unexpected power
