    Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a look at a couple of different ways to add a subtle touch of customization to the rear end of your ride thanks to this black third brake light trim ring and this quarter brake light trim ring for all 2010 and up Mustangs. These trim rings are sold separately but when paired together they give you that classic retro look that’s always popular, yet they’re a little bit more subtle than their chrome counterparts. Install couldn’t be any easier here folks, simply clean and prep the area first using the supplied alcohol wipes, then remove the backing on the 3M tape, and apply. Getting everything lined up and installed should tape about 5 minutes tops. I noticed some of you on the site have paired this third brake light trim ring with our custom Mustang third brake light decal or you can do it like we did, paired it up with a third brake light tint. Either way increases the cool factor. So if you want to give your Mustang a cool retro look with a modern twist, you’ll definitely want to check out this third brake light and quarter light trim bezel.

    Does this stick to the body or the brake light cover? I have a custom tint on the cover and am concerned it will pull off the tint if it’s adhered directly to the tint and not the body. Thx

    Will this fit on 2013 with mmd ducktail spoiler

    • The SpeedForm Third Brake Light Trim will fit with the MMD Ducktail spoiler with no fitment issues.

    How can this be removed? I just installed a GT500 spoiler and noticed tthe trim is not centered.

    • The Third Brake Light Trim is simply stuck on with 3M tape. You should be able to gently pull the trim off. If you are having trouble, try using fishing line to get in between the trim and the body of the car. This will cut the 3M tape without causing and scratches.

    GT500 Spoiler Will the GT500 spoiler fit with the third brake light trim installed on a 2010 gt? Just got a gt500 spoiler for Xmas from you guys and I'm worried it won't fit :(

    • The Third Brake Light Trim - Black (10-14 GT, V6) will work with the GT500 spoiler just fine! If you look below in our customer photos you will see a few people have this part installed with the GT500 spoiler.

      Could be better.

      Its only OK in my opinion. Would be better if it actually fit into the 3rd brake, and not just a piece of plastic 3m taped around the light.

      Doesn't fit under my spoiler...

      My issue with this 3rd light trim isn't due to the product itself or its quality, its because it does not fit under my spoiler properly and there is no explanation / description of this in the specs. I have a 2012 V6 Performance Package with the GT500 spoiler and this trim just does not fit at all.

      This is a great trim piece to hide that gap between the light and trunk looks very nice easy two sided tape pill and apply great accessory

      3rd brake light trim

      I just got it so I don’t know the overall in a long time how it will last right now I love it tho a shop did it with a decal I had added in about an hour 25 bucks to install it with the decal install

      easy installation

      This brake Light trim relay accents the back of the car. It installed in 5 minutes and looks great under the rear spolier.

      Third Brake Light Trim

      Bought this over the winter and came to install it today but... Found that overall this trim is about 1/8 to a 1/4 inch too short and barely covers the metal body opening. The end tape fall over the lens portion with no metal backing to stick onto. This creates an opening at each end to trap dirt in between the light and trim. Did not install...

      Nice addition

      The install was just so easy. It was a birthday gift for my son. As we installed the item, I noticed that it could have been just a few millimeters longer. It physically felt like it was a 'smigon' short in length. On a candy red car, it was a great addition.
