B&M HOLESHOT PERFORMANCE. The B&M Holeshot 3800 Torque Converter for C4 Automatic Transmission is engineered to improve launch characteristics and acceleration for vehicles with modified engines that perform best at higher RPMs. This converter raises stall speed to better match the torque curve of performance cams, making it ideal for drivers seeking quicker off-the-line response.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring furnace brazed impeller fins and turbine, a precision alloy steel impeller hub, and heavy-duty needle bearings, this torque converter is built for durability and reliability under demanding conditions. It is fully balanced and pressure tested to meet high-performance standards and has a standard finish suitable for direct installation without additional treatment.
Installation. The B&M Holeshot torque converter fits Ford C4 transmissions with 26 spline input and a 1.375-inch crank pilot diameter without requiring drilling. It is designed for a direct fit, with mounting studs included. Professional installation or experienced mechanical knowledge is recommended to ensure proper performance and safety.
Application. This torque converter is specifically designed to fit 1979-1982 Mustang models equipped with the Ford C4 automatic transmission. It is not recommended for use in supercharged vehicles, plate-type nitrous applications, or with trans-brake systems.
