    Review & Install Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out MGP’s front and rear caliper covers, fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs. So here’s the deal, an aftermarket big brake kit is not exactly cheap, and painting your factory calipers can sometimes not give you the results you’re looking for. These covers from MGP are a great way to cover up those ugly factory calipers, while adding a little customization and helping to reduce the brake dust on your wheels. The covers are offered in a red or a black powder coat and with a number of different logo options. We have a couple here on the table including the red GT logo, the complete black Cobra setup, the red running Pony logo, and the black 5.0 logo, just to name a few. Taking a closer look at the calipers you’ll first notice a very durable T6 aluminum construction, along with that powder coated red or black finish. In addition we have the officially licensed logo right in the center, along with some simulated hardware for a more realistic look. The installation really isn’t all that bad and should take you about an hour from start to finish. Of course you will need to remove your wheels just to gain access to the calipers so make sure you have your jack handy. In addition you’re going to want to make sure 3/8” wrench just to tighten up the hardware on the covers themselves, but other than that everything is completely straightforward. So if you’re tired of looking at those rusty factory calipers and you don’t feel like forking out big dough for an aftermarket big brake kit, you’ll want to look into MGP’s caliper covers available right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Custom Styling. Give your 3.7-powered V6 a race-ready, "big brake" look with a set of brilliant red Mustang Caliper Covers. Whether you're setting off some aftermarket rims or just adding some custom style, a set of caliper covers will give you a look that's sure to turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they act as a dust shield to keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss look. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install.

Application. Designed to fit over stock brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on a 2011 or newer V6 Mustang.

Technical Note. A minimum of 1/8 of an inch clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper is required for proper fitment. We have found that the MGP caliper covers will require the use of a small 5/16" spacer to provide proper clearance with our aftermarket Bullitt wheels, see drop down option above

Hey, Are these able to be painted? Im thinking about using G2 caliper paint on these. Thanks! :)

        • These are able to be painted but before painting, I would recommend consulting with a trusted paint shop to see what all would need to be done whether it is sanding, re-powder coating, priming, etc.

Can I get these, or any Caliper Covers that will fit my 14 V6, in Blue? I'd like to match my Deep Impact Blue Mustang.

        • At this time we do not offer the MGP Caliper Covers in blue. We carry the standard color offerings from MGP, of red, yellow, black, and matte black, however some special colors are available directly through MGP, including a blue, or color matching is also available through MGP, however this does get rather expensive.

This product was really easy to install and looks great when finished. My only complaint is the cost. This product should be much cheaper.

            Caliper covers hard to install

The brackets that attach the covers to the calipers were very hard to install. They rubbed on my rotors and it took quite a bit of modification to get them to fit properly. For $ 250 these were a horrible purchase. This will make think twice before I order from AM again.

Caliper clips and screws loosen due to heat

Had Installed, barely fit on stock 2014 Mustang V6. Look good but front left wheel you can hear scraping when accelerating. Mechanic said need more clips, nuts and bolts to rectify or will need to bend and fit so issue goes away. Requested free replacement clips and hardware so mechanic can test. Not what I was expecting, if does not resolve will return.

When My calibers came in I super stoked up until I found finger prints in the paint which I was super bummed, could’ve sent them back but chose not to because it would’ve been a hassle to do so as always but overall cool product if your budgeting

            Man oh man..

So, I had bought some covers years ago for an older mustang, was perfect! I just bought some for my 2014 mustang. IT WAS BAD! The looks, yes, of course, as expected, looks great!! Install was easy.. HOWEVER.. they are not made correctly. they are too close to the rotor that when you tighten it, it makes contact with the rotor and you hear an awful scraping sound. AWFUL!!! It was just the rear wheels for me, I found that other people had this problem too. I had to take my wheels off and back on a total of 6 or 7 times to get it right. I tried bending it, twisting, not tightening too hard etc.. eventually, i used some spare washer and placed them btwn the cover and caliper as a spacer to keep the cover away from the caliper. That's what ended up working for me. First time experiencing this issue. They need to work on these dimensions or something, because it needs work. If i'm paying that much money for these, it should fit perfectly. I was very disappointed.

I’m very pleased with the 3.7 MGP red caliper covers. I put them on my black 2011 behind Replica Bullitt Wheels. Lots of compliments! I was concerned a little about the thin clips holding the covers on while everyday driving, but I had nothing to worry about. They are on solid! I didn’t need the spacer either. Honestly, they cost a little too much, but then again if I needed to buy another set, I would pay the price. Thank you American Muscle for offering this item.

            The Look

First want to say the price is steep but it does transform the car. The majority of people paint the caliper and that just look cheap and ugly. The richer people buy big brake kits and middle settle for these. They make any color car pop and truly a great look. First set gave me an isssue with fitment but customer service fixed that gave me new ones.

            Fun Mustang

Helped dress up the car. Buy the spacer with them as they will rub without them. Added Roush mufflers with it along with mustang strips on the side panels. All giving a regular car a sporting look. Helps make a poor mans care look like a sports car and we rumble into the neighbor hood.

            Looks awesome

They look awesome. My 2012 grabber blue V6 with stock rims looks like it has a big brake kit on it. The factory brakes are realy good and now they look awesome. Tight fitment on the 17 teens , but no tighter than my brothers 2013 GT with the 18 inch rims. Which also look great. Install time will be about an hour, but take the afternoon to test drive it after the installation. So maybe 2 hours tops.
