Hey, guys. Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the MGP Red Caliper Covers with the 5.0 Logo, fitting the front and rear of all 2015 and newer GT Mustangs. So in this video, of course, we'll be going over the styling and appearance of the MGP Red Caliper Covers as well as the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront here gets a very, very simple one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Easy enough for almost anybody to take care of.The MGP Red Caliper Covers with the 5.0 Logo will be for any 2015 or newer Mustang GT owner who's in the interest of picking up a big brake kit without actually spending the money on one. This particular kit of MGP Caliper Covers will actually cover up your factory brake calipers to give it the impression of one of those expensive and aggressive big, great kits here with a red finish, a 5.0 logo for the rear, and a Mustang logo for the front. Now, obviously, if you're the owner of an S550, you might be interested in picking up a big brake kit. Now, like I just said, those can be extremely expensive, costing thousands of dollars to get, let alone install. Now, with that said, the factory 5.0 brake calipers, of course, do look pretty aggressive from the factory already and are pretty large in fact. Now, when you install these on top of that, you can make it even more aggressive, so some of you might want to stick to those factory calipers on your 5.0. But for the guys looking to add that unique shine to the brake assembly here and want to represent with a couple of different logo options, you have the 5.0 logo for the rear calipers and the Mustang lettering for the front in silver on top of a red painted caliper and a billet aluminum. Now, you also see on the front here are couple of rivets that are actually molded into the plastic. These aren't real rivets. It's just, honestly, for show. This is something that stands out a lot at car shows, so if you're the guy out there trying to win the award or just impressing your friends here, this is something that you can actually add to your appearance for a relatively affordable price without actually spending the big bucks on a big brake kit. Now, again, this is a 6061-T6 aluminum that is custom molded to fit exactly on top of your 5.0 calipers. If you're rocking a V6 or an EcoBoost, this particular kit won't fit, but there are other options on the market from MGP that will specifically fit your caliper setup. Now, on top of that, it's got the red powdered covering. It's got the silver 5.0 and silver Mustang lettering embedded into the materials here, the fake rivets on top here, and, of course, all this comes together and actually is a bit bigger than your factory calipers, so you can actually reduce brake dust. Now, as far as the pricing goes, this comes in right around 200 bucks for everything you see here. Now, in comparison to a big brake kit, which I want to point out...I keep mentioning this big brake kit. I know that has a lot more functionality than just appearance, but if you're only after that appearance, a set of MGP caliper covers can actually do the trick since these are bigger than the factory appearance. It reduces the brake dust, so it does have functionality while also looking very aggressive. Now, in my personal opinion, I'm not the biggest fan of the fake rivets here, so if they did away with those, I think it'd be something I'd be more interested in. But if you don't mind the fake rivets and you're interested in the 5.0 logo, the Mustang lettering, the red paint, you can pick this up for your S550 for just about 200 bucks. As far as the insulation is concerned, I wanna point out a couple of things before moving forward. This is specifically molded for your four-piston caliper on the 5.0 and will not fit any six-piston brake calipers. You are also required to have a 19-inch or larger wheel, but, of course, if you have all that good stuff, then you are ready to pick this up and install it.Now, as far as the installation goes, all you'll have to do is jack up the vehicle, remove one of the wheels, and bolt this on using the bolts on each side of the caliper covers, which will attach directly on top of your stock caliper. Repeat that process for the other three, and you're good to go. It's that simple.Overall, about an hours' worth of time tops and, of course, a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer Mustang GT and you're looking to pick up the impressive appearance of a big brake kit without the functionality and cost, you might wanna check out the MGP Red Caliper Covers with the 5.0 Logo here, which are available for the front and rear of your S550 right here at americanmuscle.com.

Great visual addition
Make a huge improvement visually. The fronts were not as easy to install as the video showed. Over when on relatively easy.Helpful (0)

Overall Good Look, Good Fit
Starting with the packaging .... great packaging, each part individually wrapped and the brackets were labeled front and back. Wish they were a bit thicker, but we think they will last a few show seasons based on the quality of the product thus far. The quality of the paint and the engraving is really nice.Helpful (0)

19 GT Owner
These are junk don't waste your money. I read the reviews but have had good luck with AM products. So I ordered them anyway. Poorly made item that doesn't really fit if you have 18" wheels. They will tell you they fit but I had trouble and so did a professional installer. I am going to paint the calipers instead which is what I should have done.Helpful (0)

Super Cheap Looking
Low quality look for a high price. They dont even cover the full front caliper. Not a good option, spend the time and paint your calipers if you want the look.Helpful (0)

Mustang GT Red calipers
I absolutely love love love my red caliper covers. After I had my calipers oven baked red I just thought the looked good - than I purchased my red calipers covers on and OMG it looks even better than I could have imagined. I can’t get enough compliments now - I get asked several times a day where I purchased the covers - and of course I have to tell them American Muscle - where else!!! ☺️Helpful (0)

Poor quality attachments
These look great, but the way they attach is really, really sad. Very poor engineering that could have been designed much better. As expensive as they are I was expecting much more. I would have sent them back but I managed to scratch one during installation.Helpful (0)

MPG BLACK CALIPER COVERS
These look nice. Fairly easy to install. Instructions were not good. The included hardware did not match the instructions. So a bit confusing. Otherwise they look nice.Helpful (1)
I really want to buy this but not sure if it is going to fit. My GT is a 2016 Premium model with California special. The wheel is 19-inch Ebony Black Painted Machined-aluminum wheels. Please tell me this is going to fit!
The MGP Red Caliper Covers w/ 5.0 Logo - Front & Rear (15-17 GT) will fit with a 19" wheel and will only fit on 4 piston brakes. You will need to find out if you have the 4 piston or 6 piston brakes. As long as you have 4 piston you will be good.
The video says you need 19" wheels for these to fit. I have the 2019 GT premium but I have 18" rims. Will these still fit. Thanks
These caliper covers will require wheels that are at least 18 inches. Please note that not all 18 inch wheels will work the the caliper covers.
I have a 2017 GT (Standard) with 19 inch American Muscle wheels. I see quite a few reviews complaining about fitment, if they do not fit, am I able to return them?
If you have issues with the install please give us a call in and we can help you out.
I have a 2016 Mustang GT that came with 18" foundry black painted aluminum wheels. Will these work on this vehicle? I see several reviews where it talks about scraping and since I will need dealer to install these, I want to be sure they will work before ordering.
As you have 18" wheels you should be good to go as these will require the use of 18" Wheels or Larger.
I have a 2018 mustang GT premium w/o performance pack. I have the polished aluminum wheels size 19 inch. The brakes look as if they are very close to the wheel. Will these covers fit without rubbing the wheel? Also, how thick are these covers?
While we do not have the dimensions in terms of depth or thickness, these MGP Black Caliper Covers w/ 5.0 Logo will fit on the regular 2018 GT without fitment issues, that you have 19" wheels is even better.
These caliper covers will work with most 18 inch wheels or larger.
These covers are compatible with the stock 19" wheels and will fit without a spacer.
These MGP Red Caliper Covers w/ 5.0 Logo are designed to fit 2015-2018 GT's with the factory 4-piston front brakes with a with wheels that offer the same clearance as the factory wheels or larger. We have not confirmed this fitment on any of the Roush models, we apologize.
When looking at tire size, such as 255/50r18 the size would break down like this: 255-the tire tread width 50- Tire aspect ratio. in this case, meaning the tire sidewall is 55% the width of the tire. R18- This is the size of the wheel, in inches
Hey Tyler, We would not be able to get them in blue unfortunately.
Unfortunately these MGP covers will not be able to fit your 16 Ecoboost, it is equipped with a different brake package and these covers wont fit on those brake calipers
The MGP Red Caliper Covers w/ 5.0 Logo is powder coated from MGP directly, and we would not be able to paint the covers.
Unfortunately, these caliper covers will only work with 4-piston calipers. They will not fit properly on the 6-piston calipers.
