Street and Strip. Is your 2011-2017 coyote powered Mustang in need of a new performance oriented clutch? Then consider a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch. Centerforce engineered their Dual Friction Clutch for increased holding capacity (up to 90 percent more over stock), all without sacrificing pedal effort or driver control. While primarily designed as a street clutch it can also be used for mild competition applications.

Dual Friction Design. Centerforce's Dual Friction Series Clutches feature a patented Dual Friction Disc Design. The pressure plate side of the disc has a full face for drivability and longevity. While the flywheel side has a carbon composite puck-style (segmented) face for positive engagement and increased holding-capacity.

Sprung Hub Discs. Centerforce Clutches were engineered with sprung hub disc centers. A sprung hub helps dampen gear rattle and allows for smoother engagement with light pedal effort. This not only provides excellent driver control, but increases the longevity  of your Mustang's transmission; when compared to standard rigid center hub discs.

Recommended Upgrade. It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions. Application. This Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Kit is designed to fit 2011-2017 GT and Boss 302 Mustangs equipped with a 23-spline MT-82 transmission.

Technical Note. The 2005+ Mustang uses a concentric slave cylinder instead of a conventional throwout bearing. Therefore this clutch kit will not include a throwout bearing.

Can i get my stock flywheel resurfaced with this kit? or do i need a new flywheel with this kit. also is there anything else i need to make this kit work?

  • You can get the stock flywheel resurfaced in conjunction with the Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Kit (11-17 GT) if you want to. However since you are looking to replace your clutch, I would suggest looking into purchasing the Centerforce Billet Steel Flywheel - 8 Bolt (99-Mid 01 GT; 96-04 Cobra, Mach 1; 11-17 GT; 07-12 GT500) item #389895 (www.americanmuscle.com/centerforce-steel-flywheel-8bolt.html) as clutches and flywheels are manufactured to work as a cohesive unit.

    Great Clutch Kit for Upgrade over OEM

    This clutch kit fit perfectly on my new OEM flywheel along with a new OEM slave cylinder in my 2013 track package mustang gt. I am still breaking in the clutch as recommended. The pedal feels softer than the original clutch but yet seems to grip great.
