Ask a Question

What is the reason this will not fit the v6 Pony Package? Do the fog lights interfere or are there no fittings to connect the grille?

JamesH

  • This will not fit the V6 Pony Package grille due to the slight difference in shape of the Pony Package grille as well as the bolt points and fog light interference.

Would I be able to fit a light bar in the open part of this lower grill? If so, how long?

HugoB

  • You could theoretically fit a light bar into the Cervini's GT500 Style Lower Grille however it would need to be very slim as clearance behind the grille is limited. We would typically recommend against installing a light bar, as this will restrict airflow through the lower grille, and can have an impact on cooling, especially on performance applications during the warmer months. Maximum length would be determined by your chosen mount location and bracket size. a 10"-13" bar should provide a good fit depending on your specific mounting solution.

Can. You have these custom powder coated?? To color match my black '14 GT

Norton96

  • These are ABS plastic, so powdercoating would not really be a good idea and you would need to bake the product. But you can use paint on them

I am curious about the install process on this grille as there's very little information about lower grille installs online for 13 and 14 models. Does it require the removal of the front bumper or can you simply pull the stock lower grille right off like you can with the upper grille to install the Cervini GT500 grille piece?

aszaman

  • I have not installed this product yet but if it is anything like the Roush lower grille delete, the bumper will have to come off. I can only imagine that it would be a similar process. Hope that helps.

Love the lower delete makes the car look much better.i didn't attach the screen that is optional for more air flow,no prob with bugs or debris . The only downside is the top sags just a little. You can use extra screws to suck it into the bumper or just use 3m tape like I did.

    Good, but expected better

Install was easy, but I expected a better fit from Cervini's. The plastic bits that hold the old grill in show and the top middle part sags and shows a gap. From a distance, it is hard to see these flaws, but up close it is sad to see, especially for the price. I installed this grill so I can equip the Blowfish front tow hook and not have to cut up the stock lower grill.

    Design sucks

It looks good but qualityvand design sucks. The polyurethane material is warpy. The mounting design sucks horribly. The screw holes (4) of them didnt line up at all i had to drill other holes sothe screws would line upcin the holes. Plus it does not mate flush in the upper side of the bumper opening there is a 1/4 or slightly bigger gap between the lower grille abd bumper itself were the stock one was flush... it has a horrible rough texture finish. Would not suggest to anyone. Only good thing is itvlooks good from like 10 feet away

    Looks nice, could be better

The size of the grille is a little smaller than the OEM grille so it doesn't fill the whole in the bumper as it should, there is little gap on each side, the top and the bottom. Instead of screws for installation they should have the clips, it's more secure and leaves you more confident that the thing won't fall off. The one I received didn't have all the holes pre drilled into the bumper, and the ones that were there didn't line up properly so I ended up drilling my own holes for the screws to go in.

Must have if you do the upper!

I have a 2014 Supercharged California Special and wanted a more aggressive look, and this did it! For the money, you can't beat it! I used the mesh that was included as well and also installed the upper grill version at the same time. Pull the bumper off, it makes it way easier to install, follow the directions too, don't skip steps. Took about 5 hours total but I took my time (and it was my first time taking a bumper off a car too). I love how it looks now! I get compliments everywhere. I gave the fit a 4 star only because the grill had to be aligned carefully otherwise it ended up off center. The CS car I own came with most of the holes already pre-drilled so that was good. Highly recommend!

    Gt500 style lower grille

Fitment wasn't bad, but was a little worried that 6 tiny screws hold it in. So far so good. Other bad is instead of them telling you to paint some little tabs black so you don't see them on the bumper they could of just curved the top and bottom of grille a little to make it cover the whole bumper.

    Lower Grille

I love the way this makes it look. the mesh could definitely be better designed. In fact I am not sure why the Mesh isn't attached already. All in all it all fit well and looks good.

    Looks great but...

The fit is great and it was pretty easy to install. My one complaint is the original tabs on the bumper cover show pretty easy. I'll have to find a way to cut them off.

    LOVE THESE GRILLES

I had been obsessed with these grilles since I first got my mustang. It wasn't until six months later that I finally pushed the button and got them, but I do not regret it at all! The install is a bit time consuming. I'm not sure how long it took to install the lower grille alone, but it was an hour or two for both grilles. The upper grille does require some drilling into the fog light mounts, and I think I will likely cut out the mounts completely, since I do not like the look of the bars through the grille. The lower grille exposes a portion of the bumper that is painted your body color and will need to be painted black (FYI, I don't think that is mentioned anywhere). All in all, though, an easy install, and it gives your stang such a mean, aggressive look!

Not as simple as pull out OEM, pop in the new

Bought this thinking simply pull the old out pop the new in. No didnt work like that. Instructions say remove the bumper....i was not gonna do that. I removed the radiator splash guard completely. removed air temp sensor, pulled out stock grille (yes it pulled out no trickery needed). Instructions also say to install the wire mess on the inside of the bumper, and the grille from the outside. I did not do this, I sandwiched the mesh between the bumper and the grill to make sure it never pops loose. You can install this without removing the bumper. But I do recommend marking marks large enough on the back of the grille pointing to the predrilled holes. They are not easy to see when you have your head shoved between the radiator and the bumper haha.

Finally a Lower Open Grille to Match Upper Open Grille

Been deciding to buy Roush Open Lower Performance Grille, but waited and this new grille came out, so I immediately purchased it, installation was very simple and easy, at first, i installed without removing bumper and i just didnt install the mesh screen, but 2 weeks later, just ended up removing bumper and installed it correctly, looks nice and pretty good price, i love the front look now

    Poor Fitment

Out the box the part looked nice, however the holes(8) do not line up. There was also a good 1/4" gap no matter how you placed the piece. They also tell you to paint the tabs in the grill black so you can't see them... Overall not impressed. I have same style top piece and it looks a lot better.
